No one knows what the Paxton thing is about. Now they’re talking about an affair. What is this? Violet to George Bailey. Quit falling for this crap. Just stop
Here’s how evil works. It spreads. It grows. It multiplies it sets out to destroy anything good. Anyone making any attempt to get the Oy try on a good track after the “enemy” was so enjoying a fruitful reign with birth control using the front of abortion
Here’s another way
It accuses. The name of the enemy translates as the accuser
Conservatives largely don’t understand the nature of evil. They enable it by running around trying fruitlessly to be perfect to be like the only perfect person who wasn’t even a person totally but divine and even He was attacked by the enemy
It accuses people in their imperfections pretending for all gullible onlookers that the imperfections are the issue.
They are not especially in this case
Paxton is the best. He is like having Kari Lake here. Abbott works the system. He allows border crossing and election cheating and trans.
Paxton does not. So the destroyer has to move in
.
“Paxton is the best. He is like having Kari Lake here. Abbott works the system. He allows border crossing and election cheating and trans.
Paxton does not. So the destroyer has to move in”
The left (and GOPe) do this same thing so often to politicians who try to take down the deep state. And, many conservatives fall for it each and every time. They say “Well, he must be guilty of something!” and abandon the person only to later find out the accusations weren’t true. This is what they have tried to do to Trump so many times. And the left can’t understand why his supporters still stand behind him.
I actually read the charges. Primarily what he is being impeached for includes:
- Interfering in a lawsuit on behalf of a friend and donor;
- Illegally firing whistleblowers;
- Providing favor to a friend and donor in return for help getting his girlfriend a job and some renovation work on his house;
- Interfering in state and federal investigations, including securities fraud and corruption investigations into Paxton himself;
- Issuing legal opinions on civil cases in which the state was not involved to benefit a friend and donor.
Now these are the charges, they have not yet been proven. But that is what the Senate trial is for. IF true, then Paxton should be removed from office, regardless of the good you and I think he has done while serving as AG. But keep in mind that 8 senior members of his staff went to the FBI to report allegations of corruption and bribery. And 60 out of 85 GOP member of the Texas House (over 70%) voted to impeach. That doesn’t mean he is guilty, but there was enough evidence presented to persuade a supermajority of his own party.
I’ll wait until the actual evidence is available before making a judgment. I’ve seen too many people whom I held in high regard and whom I felt did great things make stupid mistakes that ruined their careers and lives. Call it arrogance or hubris, but they begin to think their position or popularity or even the good that they have accomplished makes them immune to the consequences everyone else must face. Eventually, it brings them down.
“No one knows what the Paxton thing is about. Now they’re talking about an affair.”
The affair is an accusation based on state house gossip, rumor and innuendo. There is no there there, no affair, no whistleblowers, and no state funded payout to these alleged whistleblowers.
Every accusation, each indictment and every rumor is made of whole cloth, and Attorney General Paxton will be more than happy to explain it all during the senate trial.
