The left (and GOPe) do this same thing so often to politicians who try to take down the deep state. And, many conservatives fall for it each and every time. They say “Well, he must be guilty of something!” and abandon the person only to later find out the accusations weren’t true. This is what they have tried to do to Trump so many times. And the left can’t understand why his supporters still stand behind him.
Trump outsmarts them as his supporters do by not trying to defend being imperfect
It’s how the left maintains power. They know conservatives aim for goodness.
Republicans do the Democrats dirty work and don’t protect their own. Then we whine that all we have left are Rino’s and the Democrats laugh. They always protect theirs.
