Anyone who assumed DJT would be fiscally responsible is an idiot.
He didn’t run on that. It’s not a politically attractive position. Like most of Conservatism.

He stuck to certain social conservative positions, and that did it.

Sad thing is he’d “try to stop them” and then sign em. he tried line item vetos once and I think they railed em on it.

A real, true sign that the debt-ceiling bill is very bad is the lack of an explosive reaction against it by Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, AOC and several other prominent psychopathic Democrats.
