The former U.S. Rep. gave the commencement speech at her alma mater Colorado College, a liberal arts school she graduated from in 1988
Graduates booed and turned their chairs away from former U.S Rep. Liz Cheney as she delivered the commencement address at Colorado College on Sunday.
Cheney repeated her fierce criticisms of former President Trump but steered clear of talking about his 2024 reelection campaign or her own political future.
The Wyoming Republican blasted her House Republican colleagues for not doing enough to combat Trump's lies that the 2020 election was stolen.

Yes, Liz, they still hate you, and now we do too.
Gee, it’s like she doesn’t even have an ounce of common sense. How can she be so stupid?
Liberal Arts College. She was booed because she was a Cheney, not because she bashed President Trump.
I wasn’t criticizing your post. Just pointing out that she wasn’t booed because of her anti-Trump stance.
We shouldn’t misinterpret this. They were booing because of her filthy position regarding DJT. They were booing because she called herself a Republican and made her opposition to abortion clear.
I think everyone on this thread including yours truly was well aware of that fact.
Yet some seem here to feel the need to school the rest of us with their brilliant incite.
“They were booing” should be “they weren’t booing”
She and Cindy Sheehan need to compare notes about life after your 15 minutes of fame.
“...Graduates booed and turned their chairs away from former U.S Rep. Liz Cheney..”
Gives a glimmer of hope for today’s youth!đ
A liberal arts college with emphasis on liberal.
This restores some hope in the future generations. I doubt Dick less Cheney got the message. She’s too ignorant to understand.
SOMEONE was even MORE IGNORANT to invite her.
Sheâs probably not âprogressiveâ enough for college radicals and although sheâs a RINO, any connection to the Republican Party would be a curse on most college campuses.
I think you are overestimating the cognitive ability of the average Freeper. Most of us are smart, but not all of us are that smart.
.
The funny thing is peeps like Pence and Cheney think theyâre going to be heroes and stars - but they are loathed by the woke Pop Culture.
Itâs like a curse. A strange fate, to be cursed by the peeps they yearn to be loved by.
I skipped both my under and post grad speeches just so I wouldnât have to hear some idiot Lib pontificating on how they think I should run my life. HARRUMPH!!
I got my undergraduate degree in 1973.
I worked my way through college at least the room, board, and expenses as I had an full academic scholarship.
Anyway I was working in a grocery store on a Sunday getting time and a half when they had the graduation ceremonies.
I have no idea where I was when they had the ceremonies that handed out my masters degree.
Never much liked ceremonies of any kind, graduations, weddings or funerals.
Perhaps, but what is being lost in fog of concern as to why she was booed is that she was embarrassed for likely a number of different motivations none of which detract from the delightful schadenfreude of her sheer humiliation.
Imagine student reaction to Donald Trump as commencement speaker. He would be well advised to wear body armor.
Nothing liberal about them, they are flat out Commies.
I had William F. Buckley Jr. at mine. Sadly, my alma mater has gone to the dark side in recent years.
