I think you are overestimating the cognitive ability of the average Freeper. Most of us are smart, but not all of us are that smart.
Perhaps, but what is being lost in fog of concern as to why she was booed is that she was embarrassed for likely a number of different motivations none of which detract from the delightful schadenfreude of her sheer humiliation.
