Trump sticks boot into DeSantis as Florida Gov's top PAC advisor and long-time friend 'steps down' days after disastrous presidential campaign launch

Donald Trump took to Truth Social to delight in the reported departure of Phil Cox, a key member of Republican rival Ron DeSantis' campaign staff

Phil Cox had been seen as a core staffer during DeSantis' 2022 gubernatorial reelection team and was among the campaign's first hires.

More recently, he served as a senior adviser to the Never Back Down super PAC that supported the governor's bid for his 2024 presidency run - but on Saturday night it appeared he was no longer with the DeSantis campaign.

'I'm an unpaid, volunteer adviser to Never Back Down and proud to support Governor DeSantis,' Cox reaffirmed in a statement to ABC News on Thursday.

“I dont dis DeSantis.. but on the subject, why did he decide to run now and not wait till 2028?

How do you take it to not join in Trump’s campaign.. but to go against him?”

I’ll venture a guess....that DeSantis might think Trump will be disqualified from running in 2024...based on ongoing attempts by the DS rabid left. And DeSantis didn’t “go against Trump” until after Trump started, due to his insecurity, bashing DeSantis unfairly and dishonestly. At least, that’s my take on it.

For an example of the left’s ongoing scheme to disqualify Trump from running, check this out:

“”A liberal-leaning watchdog group warned former President Donald Trump on Thursday that it would sue to keep him off the ballot should he run for president in 2024.””

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2022/nov/3/crew-vows-sue-donald-trump-if-he-runs-president-ci/

“”Last week, the ethics watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) said it had written to Trump informing him it intends to seek his “disqualification” if he announces his presidential bid for the 2024 election.””

I assume Harris will be the running mate with Biden

Well, two things are pretty clear - Biden isn't going to be the candidate, and Harris won't be on the ticket.

I would say you are 0 for 2.

They are after Trump because he is not one of them and he would take every one of them down. If they are not stopped. This nation will no longer exist as the United States of America .
They are after control.
The bidens could be charged with treason.. with child trafficking and money laundering..taking millions from nations for favors.. for starters.. the gov has been taken over.. they all are in the vise.. and Trump is in the way.
So are you if you disagree.

No, I haven’t read that one (yet). I’ve been on a European history kick for the last several years. I’ll check it out (eventually).

Nope. Everything I post is sourced and can be tagged.

It is allegations like "The money and backers of those, are globalists" cannot be proven. It is an imagination you have because your cult tells you so.

I just disproved the Rove-DeSantis connection. I have disproved that DeSantis wanted to gut Social Security and Medicare. I disproved that DeSantis wanted a 23% tax increase.

But you keep believing the man who made these LIES about DeSantis.

And since when does the end justify the means? This is the most disappointing thing about Trump’s conduct to me.

How is he going to convince voters who rejected him in 2020 to back him in 2024?

Your question implies that 2020 was a fair and free election.

It implies that Biden did indeed receive 81 million votes.

It implies that the Blinken request to Mike Morrell to FALSELY refute the authenticity of Hunter’s laptop through his connection in the “intelligence” community did not constitute election interference of the magnitude that may have accounted for a 17 point swing as Trump has cited as being the conclusion of one analyst who studied the election outcome.

Trump was NOT rejected by voters.

Trump was rejected by “votes” that cannot be creditably verified albeit they were “certified” by the Uniparty which administrates all elections whether they have legitimate outcomes or not.

The ILLEGITIMATE outcome of the 2020 election was the completion of the overthrow of a legitimately elected administration that started almost as soon as Trump took office with a meeting apparently chaired by Obama that put the Russia hoax in motion.

Call me an election denier if you want to use the language of the Uniparty to demean me rather than refute my arguments.

To do so would support what appears to be your conviction that the outcome of the 2020 election was legitimate.

But I have a name to call those who believe that the 2020 election outcome was legitimate and that is coup deniers.

My support of Trump is based on my past support of the Bushes, Bob Dole, Juan McCain and Mittens Romney.

The GOPe wing of the Uniparty has sold this country out.

Trump came along and I now know there is an alternative to being held hostage by the GOPe wing of the Uniparty which offers NOTHING more than the opportunity to vote for the lesser of two evils.

I voted Republican all my life.

I have played the good soldier.

2024 could be the last election that I am alive to vote in.

I’m not going back to Uniparty.

My vote support is with Trump or whoever leads the America First movement.

That will not be Ron or any candidate supported by the Evil Media Empire of Rupert Murdoch and the GOPe wing of the Uniparty.

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

Ron DeSanctimonious just fired, like on “The Apprentice,” his friend and top campaign official, Phil Cox, because his campaign is a complete disaster, and 2028 is looking really bad. His campaign manager, who so deftly handled the Ted Cruz campaign against me, wanted to work for me, but was turned down - a “money grubber” like no other, and won’t quit until he’s got every last penny. Now “Rob” must change the theme of his campaign from NEVER BACK DOWN to WINNING ISN’T EVERYTHING!

A note about Trump’s New Yawk personality.

I grew up right across the river from NYC. I “understand” where Trump is coming from, in most of his statements. Over the years, I grew to dislike the rudeness, and brashness, of the NYC mentality, to the point that I moved far a way from it.

I understand both sides of why some people can like him, while others don’t. Personally I like the guy, and think that he did a great job as President, especially in light of all the BS that he had to combat.

Karl Rove on supporting DeSantis:

....

Once again, the Trump cultists are caught LYING

----

Deliberate lying by another desantis supporter

karl rove's name hasn't been mentioned by me, and I don't see it in the thread as far, except from you.

Typical desantis supporters using the tactics of the left, when they aren't able to argue or defend topics....

lie and mis-direct the arguement, go off on tangents,
change the subject,
start moving the goal post,

and when all that fails, they start doing personal attacks

Trump supporters: Please tell us how Trump is going to win the 2024 election.

He isn't going to win the 2024 "election".

Neither is DeSantis.

Two Democrats (to be named later) are going to "win" the 2024 "election". Neither Biden, nor Harris will be on the ticket due to "unfortunate and tragic events". But the Democrats will hold a victory parade for their replacement team.

And how will this happen? You might reasonably ask. The same way it happened before. Massive vote fraud in six Democrat-controlled metropolitan zones. They won't even bother to hide it very much.

And waddaya gonna do about it? That's right. Nothing. They know that.

To be sure, I will be right there with you - doing nothing. The powers-that-be will crush any resistance and the first movers will be slaughtered. We, and they, all know that too. There is nothing heroic about doing 20 years in prison for conviction on "Trumped Up Charges". Even less so for dying in a riot or being doxed and killed by the local ANTIFA Direct Action team.

Our election debates are already meaningless. The "Social Contract" will be renegotiated by other methods.

Implementation of progressive policies will crash the national economy and that is fully intentional. Only those who obey government orders will be permitted to make a living for themselves. An unrestrained elite ruling over an impoverished peasantry is the goal of the progressives. That is already happening and will worsen.

But plans often go awry, and the opposition always gets a "vote" in the outcome. I expect several waves of rebellion during the ongoing economic collapse, and the government will put down all of them. Except the last one.

You have LIED about Rove advising DeSantis before.

Now you want to squirm out of it like a true RINO.

Trump has been moving more and more left since 2020 and you cultists just keep following him there.

You can blame Trump for signing the budget.

You cannot blame Trump for the creation of those monstrosities under the R Congress.

It may also be possible that you do not understand how the Constitution works

And that the Congress - whom WE ELECT F'd things up starting in the Obama administration budgets

Continued attempts at mis-direction and/or change the subject

I have argued against other desantis supporters that have claimed rove worked for Trump. post

As I have said, tactics of the left, and if you start following the Trump/desantis threads, you'll see this poster isn't the only one who frequently lies and mis-represents things.

We know who supports RINOs and his name is Trump.

You go to war with the troops you have not with you wish you had.

RINO DeSenctamonious being your choice, will get the U.S. to look more like Venezuela just a few years later IF DeSancamonious wins, sooner if the Commies win

Just look at the Texas House - Texas House Republicans Vote to Impeach Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton, President Trump Vows to Fight Them.

Not sure what Trump can do here other than comment on this injustice - same as the issue with J6
