On May 24th a Ukrainian unmanned naval drone, stuffed with high explosives, headed for the Russian intelligence ship Ivan Khurs. That ship was on duty guarding the Turkstream pipeline. The Russians fired at the drone and it exploded in dramatic fashion. The Russians say there were two other drones, which they claim its warship destroyed.
Pro-Ukrainian sources are saying that the Ivan Khurs was damaged and is returning to port. There is a video that alleges it is from one of the drones that hit the ship, but it has not been confirmed and may be fake. The only place this video could have come from would have been the Ukrainian drone operators, yet it did not appear from a known source.
The assumption is this attack was intended to remove the Russian protective cover for the pipeline so Ukraine could blow up the Turkstream pipeline unimpeded. There would be no other reason to launch such an attack, in the author’s view.
There are a number of disturbing facts about this operation.
The first is that the Ukrainians were preparing to attack the Turkstream pipeline and needed to knock out the Russian ship helping to guard it. Turkstream moves natural gas at an annual capacity of 31.5 billion cubic meters and consists of two 930-kilometer offshore lines and two separate onshore lines that are 142 kilometers (88.2 miles) and 70 kilometers long.
One of the customers for Russian gas from this pipeline is Hungary. It would deal a substantial blow to Hungary if Turkstream were destroyed, and that could lead to a government upheaval in that country. Hungary, under Viktor Orbán, is regarded by Washington as pro-Russian.
If you should think this looks a little like the case of the Nordstream pipeline, you would not be wrong. The difference is that this was aimed as a political attack on Turkey and Hungary – not to sell US LNG to either, as was the case with Germany.
Joe Biden is a thug and a crook.
They will keep screwing around until they find an adversary who won’t take their crap. Now they have pissed off Turkey, a Nato member. What does this mean?
It means that the Great Reset for the NWO will not allow any country to defy or impede their progress. Germany f’ed around and found out and now Turkey and Hungary. If their color revolution doesn’t work the first time, they will keep undermining until they get what they want.
That pipeline is doomed.
“...Ukrainian unmanned naval drone...”
Ukraine does not have the capacity to make drones. Every weapon they have is bought and paid for by the West (i.e. USA taxpayers).
The title SHOULD say “...a Biden regime unmanned naval drone...”
The Video of the Drone boat, right before blowing up at the Stern of the Ivan Khurs would be the greatest AI fake in the history of AI fakes.
It’s not fake and based size of the explosion in the video the russians did show, the ship is badly damagaged or sunk.
If it isn’t, where are the pictures of the undamaged ship.
The Ukranians have more capacity to make drones than Russians do.
At my work we have a Ukranian designed/built Electron Beam Physical Vapor Depositon coater (for 20 years). When the technicians would come to fix it, even the mechanics would have PHD’s.
I can’t think of anything someone in the US would use that was made in Russia.
.
Russia picks up a new ally as it sounds like Turkey learned their lesson regarding trying to be a fair player when side (the Ukrainian side) is infested with NAZIs.
The Asia Times translates this to an attack on the Turkstream Pipeline.
It gets worse from there.
Possibility 1: Ukraine, which makes no secret of its desire to be admitted to NATO someday, launches a desperate, improbable and strategically counterproductive attack on the energy facilities of a key NATO member. Because, reasons...
Possibility 2: Ukraine, under genocidal attack and in an existential fight for survival, sees and exploits a target of opportunity in the form of a russian warship that strayed into their cross hairs. Russia, desperate to cover up the fact that its navy continues to take significant losses from a country with no navy of its own, obfuscates and comes up with outlandish and improbable theories as to what happened. In retaliation and in typical fashion, russia bombs a hospital.
I’ll go with #1, since Russia has been adding ships to the Black Sea since this military operation began.
This looks like a news story. But it is actually written like a sixth grader trying to write propaganda. It makes a whole bunch of assumptions about intent that are pure speculation. And the spin is pure Russia.
As with any propaganda, there are likely kernels of truth. Just don’t get sucked into the conclusions.
So you think Ukraine is trying to join NATO by attacking NATO? So your thesis is not just that they are gay Jewish nazis, but also retarded?
“So you think Ukraine is trying to join NATO by attacking NATO?”
Did NATO object to the attack? I don’t think so. Why not? Because they didn’t consider it an attack on NATO.
Anyone who thinks Ukraine DOES NOT want to join NATO is in no position to be commenting on this war, given the history that’s been posted here.
I absolutely think that Ukraine wants to join NATO and should be admitted to NATO. That’s why them attacking tNATO member Turkey in some sort of clandestine operation makes no sense, Turkey is already the most likely hold out for the unanimous vote Ukraine will need to be accepted to NATO.
Occam’s razor is not slicing in your favor, this most likely is just a run of the mill skirmish between two warring parties, Ukraine and russia and has nothing to do with any gas pipeline. But of course that doesn’t fit your bizarre narrative of Ukraine being populated exclusively by gay Jewish Nazis who are helpless puppets of George Soros, inexplicably attack allies and somehow are solely responsible for russia raping and pillaging them.
“””Did NATO object to the attack? I don’t think so. Why not? Because they didn’t consider it an attack on NATO.”””
Of course NATO has no complaints about Ukraine attacking the Russian Navy, NATO supports Ukraine against Russia.
“I absolutely think that Ukraine wants to join NATO and should be admitted to NATO. That’s why them attacking tNATO member Turkey in some sort of clandestine operation makes no sense.”
Expecting Ukraine to ‘make sense’ is waste of time for all involved.
