I’ve read that most of the key villains treated Durham with contempt. They had no fear of anything happening to them. They felt untouchable and so far they were exactly right.
They know because words do nothing. They know this because they say words all the time to make people happy, but they do nothing.
Historians will one day study the phenomena that a multitude of people who entered public life almost penniless, achieved high office and became multi millionaires. They will also study why the American public tolerated the corruption and the infrastructure that made it possible. The Clinton, Biden , Pelosi, Kerry, Romney and McConnel families are only the most prominent examples. These people people thrive on rot.
Prosecutions are necessary, but will not occur.
