“Even before Wray was the Director.”

Certainly. Just as Wray was not the director until Trump appointed him. Wray came with glowing approval, one was from DeSantis.

Yeah, a new one picked by Mitch McConnell and his deep state buddies.

—————————————————————

As I said; DeSantis was trying to be nice and supportive of Trump and his administration.

Until backstabbing Trump threw Ron under the bus.

And even after Trump went nasty, only Trumpers still can’t figure out why DeSantis won’t suck up to Trump.

This is all Red Squad vs Blue Squad kayfabe. Notice how all DeSantis says he will do is fire Wray. But commentators across the conservative spectrum are calling for abolishing the FBI.

Maybe someone will question DeSantis about this and get a more realistic answer, but for now, all I see is neocon-deepstate blather acceptable to Jeb and to Paul Ryan.

It’s a pincer attack. The anti-trumpers and left are working together. The left jails Trump before the election on one trumped up charge or another, while the controlled opposition on the right has DeSantis ready to step in as “the only electable conservative” and hopes the MAGA voters will just meekly switch their votes to him.

Bookmark that. I think that is exactly the way the 2024 Biden Victory is scripted to play out.

It’s a good thing the GOP has the House or Dems might start impeachment proceedings now for this! If you can impeach a former president, why not an aspiring one?

Don’t get me wrong, I think Trump did many great things and if he is the nominee I’ll certainly vote for him but to infer he’s somehow infallible just isn’t reality.

At the end if the day the nasty talk, especially about other Republicans is turning people off.

I can’t imagine an undecided voter hearing the childish remarks and name calling and thinking “yeah, that’s the guy I want to vote for!”

Throw in the cheat factor and no Republican can afford to waste votes.....especially when your doing it to yourself and it’s completely avoidable.

Hindsight is 20-20. There are tons of folks on here that supported the Bushes. They’ve now seen the error in their ways and changed their tunes.

One is a Tribute Band, hoping to have a successful tour before the original band died… so there’s that.

Really? They now wish they had voted for Kerry or Gore?

I supported the Bushes. Still do. When I consider the alternative.

I agree with you that’s how I feel I would gladly vote for and support Trump if he wins the nomination, in 2020 I spent quite a few hours doing volunteer work for the Trump campaign here in Florida making phone calls, couple hours per day for quite a few weeks, it got to be a game, you had to go off the script the Party gave you, when you got connected to a Democratic Voter and they basically said FU, I would respond by saying, so should I remove you from the Trump Xmas Card list, just to have some fun getting cussed out on the phone.

Trump can’t afford to alienate anyone, he has a hard cord following that might be enough to win the nomination but he is not likely going to gain enough middle of the road voters to win the nomination given all the stunts Democrats will pull, throw in all his legal problems and it will extremely tough for him to win.

If whoever it is has to be okayed by McConehead, you will get the same type individual.

Yep. That was what Trump was up against, and that is a serious problem. If we have a Senate that will only rubber stamp their preferred candidates, then it doesn't matter who is President, Trump or DeSantis.

Right. I agree, but these days we’ve got folks on here that swear that they won’t vote for the Republican nominee unless it’s Trump. That’s how we shoot ourselves in the foot.
