That is even true of a lot of the networks' programming.
I typically TiVo record most shows I would watch. Then, when I do get around to watching them, I usually fast-forward through the 'crappy' parts I am not interested in. Sometimes, I can finish a 40-minutes-of-content drama in 25-30 minutes.
I watch more foreign and old TV. However, foreign are not immune and some of their dramas are just as 'crappy' and ours.
