‘Historical moment’ for California surf schools in wake of shake-up at one Bay Area beach
San Francisco Chronicle ^ | May 19, 2023 | Jessica Flores

In a decision that could have major implications for surfing schools statewide, the California Coastal Commission this month authorized new rules at one of the Bay Area's top beaches for learners, ensuring access for surfing programs after they raised equity complaints that they had long been shut out.

Unqualified instructors teaching weak or non-swimmers to surf will result in increased injuries and drownings.

Hmm. Lot's of blacks do not have any swimming skills. Maybe that is the point. If you can't get them with an abortion, you can get them by drowning them at surf schools.

Murderous liberals.

Interesting article. I've often though about the "3M President" (Mulatto-Marxist-Muslim) in that way, although I'm not sure about the "-ized" part.

Then again, being the spawn of a primarily Arab man and a "white woman", this America-/American-hating SOB is hardly even a mulatto.

Can’t say I’ve ever seen a Kreighoff with sling swivels on it.

There are Bay area boarding schools for kiddies who are gifted surfers. I know a guy who got a scholarship to one at age 14. After high school, he got a surfing scholarship (yes, a surfing scholarship) to UC Berkley.

So, yes, they surf in San Fran.

Don’t forget Mavericks, just south of SF.

I’m so pleased we have overbearing government entities insuring we can no longer exercise free will. These are the days I have long waited for.

“Should include electricity, antibiotics, automobiles, airplanes, English(okay, they’ve already pretty much discarded that), plastics, .... it could be a rather long list.”

If they really want to play the cultural appropriation game Hawaiians, like Native Americans would be sent back to the stone age.

Growing up we had a cabin near Aptos in Santa Cruz that had a surfboard left by Duke Kahanamoku (August 24, 1890 – January 22, 1968). A great swimmer and the man who brought surfing to California, he used a board made of wood that must have been 8-9 foot tall. It weighed about fifty pounds. It was never used. No one could handle it. It was stolen. A pity, because it should be in a museum.

Surfing going woke should be hilarious. And a tragedy.

Most places surfers travel for waves( if from the US or Australia) are minorities. It’s always been all inclusive.

I had no idea there were not for profit surf schools.

Don’t know whether to laugh or cry.

> Besides, as long as you keep swimming, it’s not cold.

Haha, I used to love rolling in the surf on the San Mateo coast, but the kids bought a shorty wetsuit for me because they were afraid I would succumb to hypothermia and drown! Invigorating!

I kinda stopped when I noticed an uptick of guys my age getting killed doing stuff like that and switched to kayaking.

Harsh, but funny. Always wondered why Fred’s site just disappeared all of a sudden. Anyway, thanks for that link (I had figured he just got “scrubbed” altogether).

Well.....I used to love to swim out a ways, turn over onto my back, and just float for a while. That was.....until.....the movie Jaws. Took all the fun and relaxation out of it. Now I float in lakes. If any illegal trespassers start putting sharks in our lakes......
