Speaking alongside U.S. President Joe Biden at the Group of Seven summit in Hiroshima, Japan, Zelenskyy said the Russians had destroyed “everything.” “You have to understand that there is nothing,” he said.
“For today, Bakhmut is only in our hearts,” he said. “There is nothing in this place.”......"

I've always said that Bakhmut was strategically worthless and that the Russians obsession in taking it at all costs is absurd, ever since you first told me that it was "over" back in October.
Heck, it's STILL not over with fighting going on in the streets this morning.
Bakhmut was a town to no where, and is nothing but a pie of useless rubble right now.
You said Baknmut would hold, so it really doesn’t matter what you say now.

I never said that at all. I said that the Russians, by pushing so far into the town (house by house) with weak flanks, had created a very nice salient for themselves just waiting to be pinched off.

Except that's exactly what you did with Kherson, a far more strategically valuable city than little Bakhmut.
And the map lines haven't been redrawn much at all, because Bakhmut is tiny.
