Many years ago there was a NY talk show host Bob Grant who suggested mining the border. If it had only been done back then.
Abbott should answer by sending the buses to the mansions the Hollywood creeps live in.

Why would the House waste the political capital? There is zero chance the impeachment would result in a conviction, so why bother?
It is an object lesson - right out of Rules For Radicals. Make them live up to their own rules/values. Or put another way, spread the pain so all will feel it. The more pain NYC feels, the more pressure they will put on their elected officials to actually fix the problem, as opposed to dismissing it as ‘that’s a problem for Texas.’

Waste political capital???
The democrats faced the exact same circumstance with Trump and went full speed ahead, having to manufacture their lies to justify it.
The Republicans have proven facts on their side and an impeachment would alert the American public, (and there are multitudes with their heads up their asses), to how corrupt Biden and his administration is.
At this point, basically nobody in the general populace remembers or cares that they impeached Trump. It was a waste of Dem political capital, to the point where the press doesn’t even try to ‘remind’ consumers of it. A big nothingburger.

And just how do you know that? Have you talked to hundreds of millions of people?
There have been numerous surveys performed, many by Democrats to see whether they could get mileage out of dredging that up. Apparently they universally found that essentially nobody remembers or cares - hence why the press isn’t doing “impeached former President Donald Trump.”
You said the democrats used up political capital when they impeached Trump. The democrats won both houses of Congress and stole the presidency shortly thereafter.
No mention in the show that she didn't seek asylum in all the latin countries she passed through before crossing to El Paso. She is not an asylum seeker! She is an illegal invader!
Except then they lost the House and almost lost the Senate thereafter, and many of the local elections were a bloodbath unless the Dems in a race cheated.
If you want to see how much it matters to people, go ask average people how much they care that Clinton was impeached but not convicted. It won’t signify.
