The CBS drama series FBI: Most Wanted attacked Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) in its latest episode by referring to his policy of busing illegal border crossers to New York as a “publicity stunt.”

I haven’t watched CBS since MASH went off the air.
The utterly corrupt and lawless FBI should be on the Most Wanted list of every real State Police, LEO and Sheriff organization in every state.
If it is a publicity stunt(which many here on FR incorrectly deride it as), Abbott is doing a poor job of publicizing it. Mostly we only hear about it only when blue state sanctuaries complain bitterly about being made to put their money where their mouth is on their proclaimed policies.
It’s working.

How did CBS shoehorn the current invasion into a show about an agency which does not chase down illegals?

I think they are referring to a TV show, not the actual FBI.
New York for ages has pitched itself as a “sanctuary city.” Now that illegals are shipped to those who asked for them, how can that be a “publicity stunt”?
With abortions in NYC outnumbering live births I think TX is doing NYC a favor.
Whenever a commie calls something a “publicity stunt,” you know you have them up against the wall.
The top ten should all be current leaders of the FBI.

And the Republicans in Congress can’t even muster up the courage to impeach the fool in the White House for refusing to enforce immigration law, and for his efforts to violate immigration law, in contradiction to his oath of office.
The democrats impeached Trump twice, knowing full well they could not succeed. But they went right on ahead and did it, knowing that it was still a major smear to Trump and the Republicans.
Texas is full. It’s amazing these other States seem to think Texas should just take care of millions of people from all over the world. They really don’t like Texas.
It is a publicity stunt. He doesn’t have the balls to do what needs to be done with the invaders.
Snipers on the border would end this invasion in 2 days.
