Parents furious over private LI school's detailed sex ed curriculum for fifth-graders — complete with pictures
NY Post ^ | 5/16/23 | Dana Kennedy

Parents at the progressive Waldorf School of Garden City, Long Island, are angry and some are threatening to pull their kids out school because of new mandatory sex education for fifth graders that teaches, among other things, oral and anal sex and masturbation — with illustrations.

Part of the new sex ed curriculum, which originated with the Unitarian Universalist Church and is called Our Whole Lives (OWL), was just formally announced to Waldorf parents in March by the school.

It includes a controversial book called “It’s Perfectly Normal” that has been around since the early aughts but which parents say was originally meant for older kids but contains material too graphic for fifth graders.

“It made me physically nauseous,” one mother told The Post. “There’s a whole page on contraception and vaginal and anal sex and more about how it’s perfectly normal. This is clearly agenda-pushing and it’s so outrageous.”

If you still insist on having your children in a public school system in this day and age, you need to think carefully as to your priorities in life. Do your children even tell you what they are being subjected to each day?

This is not a public school but a private one.

And a very expensive private one at that.

Those are good questions! The real reason the schools are teaching children how to be deviants and degenerates is because the globalist elites know that if children are learning math, science, reading and writing as opposed to sexual perversion, they won’t grow up to be stupid! I believe they know that stupid people are easier to control and they just want mindless little drones and serfs all the while the elites live like royalty each and every day!

“This is not a public school”

Thanks, I realized my error in making that statement almost immediately after posting the article.

So, I amend my statement to say, “If you are not ‘homeschooling’ your children, and therefore keeping them away from the grooming left, then you should check your priorities”.

From the article:

“This school is the one place where they have always let children be children and they used to try to keep them away from social media and television,” another mother said.

“But now this ideology is becoming the forefront of the school’s focus. I’m all for diversity and inclusion but it takes on a whole new tone when your little kids come home lecturing you about pronouns and asking about oral sex.”

This parent admits she signed her child up for the ‘diversity and inclusion’ indoctrination. She is now upset her child is being groomed in addition to being indoctrinated.

Take your child out of the school if you are unhappy with the curriculum. Not hard to figure out, especially in a private school.

I beg everyone here to read the entire article and think back to yourselves at age 10 and ask if you were ready for this type of sexual knowledge.

The only purpose for such “education” is to make a child ready for sexual activity (with the teacher?) at an earlier and earlier age.

This is sexual grooming by definition and should be against the law nationwide with no objections by anyone. Not by parents, teachers, politicians, and physicians, etc. one and all.

We home school one and have three in private school. It is not a fancy pants one nor a religious one but it is one where we, and the other parents, are heavily involved.

There are various security precautions but we can, at any time, log in and see what is going on in our kids classrooms.

Also we review everything. Any new curriculum and we see it before it is allowed in. Which has made for some lively meetings of Parents and Teachers United (our version of the PTA).

It's not that simple in NYC and suburbs.

There's a whole culture that's grown up among the wealthy there around education. You won't get into an Ivy League school if you don't go to the "right" prep school. And you won't get into the "right" prep school if you don't go to the right pre-prep school. And so on and so forth -- right back to pre-kindergarten!

The parents feel trapped in the pipeline.

The public schools system has become organized child molestation. We need to treat teachers as child molesters.

Say no to peaceful coexistence!

That’s the way to do it if no other options are available. I remember when my (now 40-something) children were in school. The teachers were begging for parent involvement. Parent home-room sponsors were the norm (cookies or brownies on Friday morning delivered by parent sponsors), and school clubs not only had a teacher sponsor but a parent one as well (I was parent sponsor of the chess club).

Back then, parents were often invited to come and speak to their child’s class to tell what they did each day or any on other topic they wanted to discuss with the children regarding career choices and the changing technology.

Now, parents are pushed out of the classroom and any request to be involved in their child’s education results in a referral to the DOJ.

I live in this area. I know exactly what is going on. I visited this Waldorf School years ago.

There are many other fine private and public schools in the area. Going to the Waldorf School doesn’t guaranteed you entrance into an Ivy League, but it does guarantee that your child will have a hardcore sex education at an inappropriate age.

When I was ten I knew I kind of liked girls and some girls kind of liked me. I had no idea why, except they were cute and I liked them. I guarantee that I had no concept of sex whatsoever.

I remember reading some years ago about a sex ed curriculum proposed for New York City schools. It introduced information on sex acts that I had heard of (and was better off not knowing about) and I am a grown man who has been around the block a few times.

Waldorf Schools are the sort of place where kids only play with wooden toys, practice yoga, and old hippie teachers don’t shave their legs

“Many, many private schools are also now filled with Pedo & Satanic stuff.”

It’s now REQUIRED as the Left managed to slip-in and take over the accreditation system. If a PRIVATE school wants its diploma to be accepted by colleges, then it must conform to the Grooming requirements that have long-applied to public schools.

sex education in public and private schools are primarily for the deviants who are grooming your kids, it has no place in education

Guess my info is a bit out of date. But I know a lot of parents from the NYC area and they are obsessed with the school-to-Ivy pipeline.

Are these the ultra-liberal folks (even from NY) who suddenly realize what they have wrought?
