Breitbart ^ | 05/15/2023 | Simon Kent

Legendary Italian car maker Ferrari has no intention of phasing out combustion engines and going fully electric or hybrid anytime soon, promising Sunday to keep making the eight and 12-cylinder engines it has made its trademark at least until the end of the 2030s.

The chief of the Italian manufacturer told the BBC in an interview it would be “arrogant” to dictate to customers what they can buy while at the same time walking away from the company’s heritage.

There IS a God. Nothing like the sound of a Ferrari V-12. Read last year that Lotus is going all-electric...

And on the opposite end of the price point, IIRC, Toyota has NOT gone all in on this business ending prospect and will continue to offer ICE for some time longer. 🤔👍. Not that i can afford either one new (or used in the F catagory) during b this economic recovery.

That's great news! This was very surprising to me. I always thought Ferrari was a small niche player.
"By market capitalisation Ferrari is currently in eighth position ahead of the Stellantis conglomerate, Ford, Honda, General Motors, and Hyundai."

Maybe we can do another Battery Ford v ICE Ferrari, like 8 hours at Lemans. Can you replace a battery during a pit stop?

The only reason you can buy a Ferrari is so there can be a Ferrari F1 race team. Same for McClaren. I wouldn’t expect them to stray much from those roots.

Hell no, they just made a brand new one that is the bomb:

The Ferrari 812 - The car’s most striking feature is the latest evolution of Maranello’s legendary 65° V12 engine which reaches the highest output of any Ferrari road-car engine - 830 cv - and revs to 9,500 rpm, again the highest of any Ferrari ICE.
