Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said Saturday that he would close down the southern border to restore order, just days after the lifting of Title 42 has unleashed chaos there — and urged President Biden to “put us in.”
“I’d shut down the border immediately — why are we letting this happen? It’s hurting people. You deserve to have a secure border, you deserve to have a rule of law,” the expected 2024 presidential candidate told a packed audience in Sioux Center, Iowa, where he attended Republican Rep. Randy Feenstra’s 3rd annual Family Picnic.
“Don’t tell me foreigners can just decide to come across the border when they want to. We decide who comes into this country as Americans. We have every right to have that border secured and not have this disaster unfolding,” DeSantis said.

I live in Florida and I think he’s great.
In some sense, you are correct. Where we differ is that - nothing will change unless Congress changes regardless of who is president. We’ve seen this repeatedly yet voters place all focus on the presidency while ignoring local elections and Congress. Until that changes………why spend months contemplating one elected position? Some call that enabling :)
FYI, those that sit out this election are the same ones that have sat out all elections. Trump brought those people out 2016, no one else has.

Shutting down the border means shutting down the Ports of Entry to everyone and everything including Mexican made items like cars, appliances, cornflakes, Hershey bars, Corona Beer.
The bigger question is? Why do you DeSantis supporters always use him to go after Trump? You do it every time. You ruin any thread that is about President Trump or Governor DeSantis. We all have FREEDOM of speech and don’t have to run it by you DeSantis supporters first.

I agree about the evil people working in the US government, but have yet to seen a well written and comprehensive analysis on how the 2020 election was “stolen”. What really happened in 2020 was that the Democrats used the Covid emergency to pass legislation allowing large scale mail in voting in swing states. The the Democrat operatives went out and made sure all the registered Democrats voted by mail. Once again the Republicans were out maneuvered and defeated. Trump and folk like you do nobody any favors by baseless assertions of a “stolen election”. If you think the election was “stolen” please back up your opinions with some facts.

Freeman had previously been accused of taking part in fraudulent activities. Via The Georgia Record, she was seen on camera allegedly pulling boxes of mysterious ballots from under the table in Fulton County on Election Night. Freeman was also caught scanning and rescanning large stacks of ballots into a computer.
Trump pointed out that, based on the tapes ... Freeman was ready to blow the whistle on an alleged network of fraudsters that were potentially embedded within federal agencies.
“At first she thought that they had been caught, got VERY nervous, and wanted to ‘spill the beans’ on everyone,” Trump explained in his comments."

He said there was “massive ballot harvesting” in Atlanta.. He alleged that Atlanta prosecutors wouldn’t investigate voter fraud even if presented with evidence. DeSantis took particular issue with the amount of time needed for Georgia to finish tallying votes. It took days for the state to report a result.
In the days after the 2020 election, DeSantis was among the first Republican leaders to suggest that Trump-aligned legislators in key swing states had the power to intervene in the choosing of electors, even after all the votes were counted. He floated the idea during an appearance on Fox News two days after the election."
There were more votes than voters in 14 of 16 Counties in NV. They froze the election on election night... figured out how many ballots they needed and then manufactured them. There were more votes than votes in PA some precincts having more than 150% turn out. WI, MI and GA as well were we have them on tape.

Trump was president and could have pardoned the 6th protestors. He didn’t. He let them rot in prison.
