They don’t call it the Stupid Party for nothing. If they had passed tough border bills in Trump’s first 2 years when they had a majority in both the the House and Senate they would’ve held the House in 2018 and possibly prevented the fraudulent 2020 Presidential election.

It took 60 votes...not just a majority vote.

You forget: The Speaker of the House back then was the despicable Paul Ryan, who would damned sure have blocked any such legislation from coming to a floor vote.

Absolutely complete and correct! This is exactly why the ‘red wave’ never materialized last fall, and up here in MI we lost both the state house and senate for the first time in decades as an example. The GOPe proved itself worthless and they were tossed from congress as fast as they won the last two times.

The do-nothing party is not gonna get re-elected like the previous generation, those days are over and voting for the lesser of evils is over. And oh, they could have done something about KenyanKare also when they had the chance but DID NOTHING. It may be semantics to many - but the reason this country is a freakin’ mess is not because the rats won elections, it’s because the GOPe enabled them all the way.

” If they had passed tough border bills in Trump’s first 2 years when they had a majority in both the the House and Senate they would’ve held the House in 2018 and possibly prevented the fraudulent 2020 Presidential election.”

The real opportunity was early in the George W. Bush administration when fear of terrorism was in the air after 9/11 and the Republicans controlled Congress. A bill was actually passed by Congress to build 700 miles of physical border wall. The soft on immigration Republican President George W. Bush interpreted the legislation as allowing a “virtual” wall instead of a physical wall. The Bush administration gave the aerospace company Boeing over a billion dollars to implement a high tech virtual border wall with cameras and infrared devices to monitor border crossings. It did nothing to deter illegal crossing. When Obama became president he scrapped what was in reality a wasteful boondoggle for Boeing. Had a physical wall been built in 2005-2006, think of how many millions of illegal migrants would have been discouraged and prevented from entering the country. Thing about how the sections of wall Trump build could have been add ons to a Bush wall instead of being installed from scratch.

The GOP is not only the “Stupid Party”. It is also the big donor and open borders party.
