Georgia turns down White House invite following national championship

There are plenty of opportunities that arise after winning the national championship. Georgia has reaped the benefits over the past two years, being on top of the college football world under head coach Kirby Smart. For all sports, one of the benefits is heading to Washington D.C., and being hosted by the president.

However, there will be no visit to the White House for Georgia despite back-to-back titles.

Georgia announced they would not make a trip to the nation’s capital on Tuesday. President Joe Biden had invited the Bulldogs to visit on June 12 but it was declined. The date itself was used as the reasoning, with classes nor football practice being in session.

“Unfortunately, the date suggested is not feasible given the student-athlete calendar and time of year,” a statement from Georiga Athletics said. “However, we are appreciative of the invitation and look forward to other opportunities for Georgia teams moving forward.”

Go Dawgs! They don't want the stink of that loser dummy occupying the Oval Office all over their kick-butt football program.

Someone advised Biden there is an election in Georgia in March of next year so maybe he should invite the Champions in order to score some points for his campaign.

The Biden administration has snubbed the Dawgs two years in a row. Good for UGA in saying “No Thanks!”.

RE: Georgia Turns Down White House Invite....

Georgia to the White House was a nonstarter. No room for them all.

Inviting one sport’s victorious team members would be doable.🏈

As a Gator, Georgia is one of my three least favorite schools. FSU & Miami being the other two. But, with this, I'm rethinking my postion. God forgive me, but,

GO DAWGS!!!!

Hi.

Expect the FBI or IRS to conduct searches and audits of all things Bulldog and AD in Athens. Among other punishments the Brandon administration will dole out.

Given the University of Georgia’s full support of violence against pro-life pregnancy centers, why would they do that?

It is so quaint that in 2023 they still pretend football players are academic students

TCU had a very good team. But Georgia had a great team. Kirby Smith has done wonders with the program.
