A Denver councilwoman has sparked fierce debate after suggesting that white-owned businesses pay additional tax, which would be given in reparations to the owners of minority-owned businesses.

Candi CdeBaca, a 37-year-old Democratic Socialist, told a business forum in Denver on Thursday that more needed to be done to provide reparations.

'Capitalism was built on stolen land, stolen labors, and stolen resources,' said CdeBaca, speaking at a forum at the Greater Metro Denver Ministerial Alliance.

Capitalism was built on stolen land, stolen labors, and stolen resources

Every civilization was built, ultimately, on "stolen land, stolen labors, and stolen resources".

Get you head out of your ass and take a world history class, ya dummy.

Colorado was not a slave state. Colorado became a state in 1875 well after the slaves were free. What about the indentured Irish servants that were kept well beyond their contract. How about reparations for he Roman slaves that built the Roman Empire. My family fought for the union not the confederacy, why would I be responsible for someone's else’s ancestors?

All land was stolen from the Neanderthals.

The world needs to revive them from DNA samples and then give them trillions!

How about those businesses that won’t participate in such a scheme just stop serving blacks?

Let blacks be separate and fending for themselves without sponging off white America

All their zones will turn into Detroit

For a long time, nobody had any problem with stealing land, enslaving people, raping women, etc. It was might makes right. In such manner, every bit of land was stolen multiple times.

Then gradually things changed as the protection of people in themselves and in their property became primary. In the west, the view that governments were formed to protect people in themselves and in their property eventually lead to the Enlightenment. As John Locke put it, we had God-given rights to Life, Liberty and Property.

The lofty principles of the Enlightenment did not take hold immediately or completely. Rulers - to include Monarchs and established churches, and also slave-owners - resisted. Nevertheless, you could see progress in human liberty and in the standard of living of common people.

Then came a counter-revolution, with a twist, to restore the rule of the mighty to primacy, and to subordinate us and our property. The twist was that the rulers would be a self-identified elite, as opposed to hereditary monarchs; that atheism would replaced religion; and, that slavery is o.k. when everybody is a slave. Initially known as communism, this counter-revolution now combines socialism with the Green Agenda and inter-sectionality.

This counter-revolution is increasingly doctrinaire, perverse and demonic.

But, it is also increasingly clear to normal people what we’re up against.

Now, as to the justification of property: Locke said that when man was a hunter-gatherer, there was no property. An apple on a tree was available to whomever came along. That apple was only “property” between the time you picked it off the tree and brought it to your mouth.

But, with the emergence of agriculture and other forms of production, as you tilled the land, domesticated animals, fashioned tools, and laid up grain at harvest, you started to think of these as yours.

Furthermore, with some people being productive, others could seek to live by stealing from the productive. So, we had the makers and the takers. We - the makers - want our claims to our property as well as ourselves to be protected. So, we join together in mutual defense for this purpose.

But, the other side - the takers - are resourceful. They’ll organize themselves into raiding parties, like Vikings. Even, they will seek to take over governments, like Hitler. Not only are they resourceful, they are relentless.

You beat Hitler in one generation, and then you beat the Communists in a subsequent generation, and it’s not “the end of history” as the neo-cons proclaimed. No, it’s time for the takers to re-think their strategies and tactics. And, so, we are now in another fight, this time against an opponent uses the money they steal from us through excessive taxes to bribe the lazy and greedy to vote for them, and who will use every trick in the book to win elections.

I thought that I’d try to imagine what living with a real bitch might be like. This gals picture helped me with that mental image. Imagine what it must be like to live with a chick like this. She’s got a look like she gets up in the morning and thinks to herself “how many men can I kick in the balls today and who should be first?” But that’s just me. I’m sure that deep down shes a loving, sensitive person. Bless her heart. /s

Excellent post—avoids the usual labels and cuts to the chase.

“Social justice” and “equity” are a war on civilization.

I bet that would sail through the courts! Everyone can see how the Constitution requires it! There it is in Article XIII- Negroes must be given Preferential Tax treatment.

An enforced reverse migration to, say, Venezuela, would be in order.

Chinese, at least, were quite capable of economic and technological advance. But China has been for three thousand years centrally ruled by emperors with total power who took all the wealth to themselves. It took Europeans with all their divisions to build the world we have today. Particularly it took English people that grew up with a proportion of free farmers outside of the feudal system and Jews in Europe who stayed outside of that feudal system and built the financial system that the rulers relied on to finance their wars and their luxury. Arabs and other Semites began to develop but had it aborted by Mohammed and all the wealth was taken by the Sultans and Emirs and Begums so, like the Chinese, no one tried much.

Clearly this is two legally defined punishments at the same time:

Kin punishment
Collective punishment

In the US legal system it is the behaviors of the INDIVIDUAL that responsibility and repercussions exist. Although not specified in the constitution, an outcrop of the 8th amendment applies and can be argued.

These people need to be stripped of citizenship and one-way tripped to the nearest socialist paradise.

This. Absolutely. She is gunning for the end of this nation. All those like her are. If it were up to me I would make advocating for Marxism in any form punishable as form of treason. We used to be vigilant about keeping Communists and their sympathizers out of our public forums. Now we elect them, put them on school boards, and pay lots of money for our children to be lectured by them in universities where they have been given tenure. It would make more sense if we all just jumped off a cliff.

If capitalism was built on stolen land, and they want to give reparations, then the native Americans should get the money.
