Yuge! How is this not prior restraint?
Okay, let’s just call it an unconstitutional abuse of a private citizen’s first amendment rights instead of a gag order.
Banning someone from publicly speaking about a case, is infringing upon his first amendment rights. The evidence for or against Trump will eventually be known. There are ways to ‘leak’ the evidence, and it could happen or should happen.
Why put Trump’s age prominently in the article?
Trump will not get a fair trial in NYC. Just another lib judge looking out for a lib prosecutor.
... he added: however, the prosecution, and by extension the MSM, shall remain unfettered by this court to control all aspects of the narrative. Obviously, they'll be free to dribble out all the half-truth deceptions and slimy innuendo that are required to slander the guilty party's character and hog-tie him with expense and procedure through the months leading up to election season and beyond as necessary. It is the court's duty to defend Our Democracy™

President Trump needs to give Bragg 24 bucks worth of beads and tell the boy to call it a day.
Any gag (or ill-defined gag) order is blatantly unconstitutional.
Period.
A defendant should be able to say whatever he or she wants — regardless how it helps, or more likely, hurts their case. If a judge is concerned about a defendant’s words, they can simply sequester the jury.
Unfortunately, we are at a point in our country where — amazingly — the First Amendment is null and void...
Well then reporters shouldn’t ask about it then, right?
what trump should do is a lawsuit naming those individuals and the info uncovered...the judge can stop him from talking he can’t stop a sepret lawsuit from being filed. even if it’s a looser of a law suit it would have the effect of going around the judges order and there is nothing the judge can do because the documents filed in the suit are public documents. he can even do it in a different court where that judge has no control.
Trump, I f any kind of man and if unconstitutional, should ignore it.
Judges are meant to be ignored and often..
All President Trump needs to do to thwart this ruling, if HE finds it necessary to elocute on a Court-prohibited particular matter, is to have surrogates speak the words.
As an example, he could have one of his sons on stage with him at a rally, and he could stand on the podium a short distance from the lectern, and as his son speaks, he could remain silent but make all those great expressions and nods of his head that he is so well known for, intimating his agreement through body language, or maintain a completely stoic expression.
Or, simply be at some location other than where his spokesperson, surrogate, or son is speaking the forbidden words.
Bragg took one very dubious misdemeanor, for which the statute of limitations was long past, and somehow transmogrified it into 34 felonies because of “some other crime” but he won’t disclose what that other crime is. I guess Trump has to wait until the first day of the trial to find out.
Right. The judge says he won’t gag Trump as he gags him.
Vile filth.
Justice Juan Merchan born in Columbia and came here with his illegal alien parents.
Deport Merchan NOW!
180.
The older I get, the more I see of this world, the more I am convinced that there will not be a return to law and sanity without the shedding of lots and lots of blood.
Hopefully it will all be from THEIR side.
