On Wednesday, the Russian government said that two drones from Ukraine had attacked the holy of holies in Russia — the ancient Kremlin — and that the U.S. assisted Ukraine in the operation.
Here’s a video released by the Russian government appearing to show something exploding above the Kremlin.

Video analysis is not my forte, so I will not comment on the authenticity of what was recorded. But a drone being able to work its way through two or three layers of air defenses? Not very likely.
Indeed, Western intelligence was skeptical of the drone strike coming from Ukraine from the beginning.
Questions have also been asked as to why the Kremlin waited so long, hours after the incident purportedly took place, to announce it and just why Russian social media channels, usually a-flutter with talk about the war with Ukraine, Russian military strategy and leadership, had been silent about an incident that allegedly took place in full sight (albeit at night) in central Moscow.
Why, too, did videos of the “attack” only appear after the incident and, indeed, who captured the footage — and what prompted them to start filming it just moments before the drones were shown above the Kremlin?
Western officials were also quick to cast doubt over Russia’s claim that Ukraine had made an attempt on the Russian president’s life. For one, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said the U.S. could not validate Russia’s accusation and that the claim should be taken with a “very large shaker of salt.”

Why Russia might have carried out a false flag operation against a nationalistic icon like the Kremlin is self-evident.
The timing of the purported attack, coming just days ahead of the May 9 Victory Day parade commemorating the Soviet Union’s victory over Nazi Germany, has not gone un-noticed — nor was it meant to, analysts said.
The Kremlin said the drone attack had taken place “on the eve of Victory Day, the May 9th Parade, at which the presence of foreign guests is also planned.”
It added that “the Russian side reserves the right to take retaliatory measures where and when it sees fit” also suggesting the attack could be used to justify an escalation of its aggression against Ukraine.
Those “retaliatory measures” were hinted at by former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, who called for the “elimination” of Ukraine’s government and cited Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy by name.
So what if he did? It’s still not our problem.
We’ve got an invasion going on right now along the southern border. Let’s spend our billions there.
That drone attack was staged by Putin, just like I said in another thread this morning.
No, I don’t think they’d run a false flag against the Kremlin. It makes Putin and his military look foolish and I think that was the point of hitting the top of the roof like they did. That way lots of video around Moscow would capture the event.
I’m also not thinking Ukraine did this either. It smells more like domestic opposition to Putin.
RE: That drone attack was staged by Putin, just like I said in another thread this morning.
Can you direct us to the link on that thread? I’d like to read your reasons for believing so. Thanks.
This are same people that claimed Russia blew up its own pipelines and then claimed five people rented yacht, blew it up and returned the yacht with their fake passwords still on board.
Why, too, did videos of the “attack” only appear after the incident....
Because the appearance of videos of the attack before the incident might have aroused suspicion.
What’s your evidence to backup this claim?
False flag is possible. Also it’s true that they were offering a cash prize for anyone who could land a drone in Red Square. In any case, this was not am assassination attempt, but a publicity stunt. In either case.
RE: What’s your evidence to backup this claim?
Ask the author. I’m just posting the report. I am an observer just like any other. Don’t assume that just becaue I post something, I automatically agree with what’s being reported.
In this case, I am on WAIT and SEE mode. I post this for discussion purposes.
It was an “assassination attempt” as much as J6 was an “insurrection”.
I don’t know, nor do I care!
If there is any possibility for this democrat administratiion to manufacture another “USS MAINE” incident to turn attention away from “some darn thing”, they will.
Both sides are lying their asses off about the war.
However, from a practical perspective I kind of hope it was the Ukrainians responsible.
We destroyed the Nord Stream pipelines, which is a far more serious provocation than a few drones and the Russians have not responded in kind as far as we know.
Not to sure Putin will respond on this latest drone attack if it came from the Ukraine or other sources.
However, if this was a false flag attack, then Putin is planning on using the drones as a pretext for some pretty serious “reprisals”. This conflict needs to be ended before it escalates out of control. As far as "false flags" I'm far more concerned about the US or NATO trying a nuclear false flag event . I know that sounds crazy, but the Biden Administration is crazy.
Kinda like the Biden regime’s false flag attempt to smear Russia with blowing up its own gas pipeline? Or the false flag chemical warfare claims to smear Russian ally Syria?
Does it matter? Both sides are playing this “war” as Kabuki theater with histrionics and drama and ignoring Sun Tzu altogether.
You don’t need “false flags” on either side - you crush the enemy forces and destroy their ability to wage war and neither side is doing that!! They’re both angling for political alliances more than they are to achieve their military goals.
Very bizarre.
+1
Nailed it.
Without taking sides in th his stupid war, why the noise about a Ukie drone attack on the Kremlin? Russia invades Ukraine. It sends a strike force to capture Kiev which is repulsed and then Russia complains when the Ukies send a drone strike at Moscow. Kind of like the Japs bitching about the Dooloittle raid.
“This conflict needs to be ended before it escalates out of control.”
***********
Its at the point where a simple miscalculation or even a technical glitch could trigger a serious escalation. Once the nukes start flying NOBODY knows where it will end.
I doubt any of this would have happened under Trump. He see’s to be the only person interested in peace.
