On Tuesday, Valuetainment Television made a public $100 million, five-year contract offer to Tucker Carlson, plus ownership shares in the company. Carlson is still under contract to News Corp., however, and his Tucker Carlson Today shows are still in the archive lineup. But his sidelining has created a media feeding frenzy. Newsmax also seems to be in the hunt. Backchannels — and in the case of Valuetainment, a publicity-grabbing front channel — have opened up as media companies hope to steal market share on the Right from the Fox News Channel.
When Tucker Carlson Tonight was canceled by the Fox News Channel, the outspoken print and broadcast journalist completed a personal career trifecta. Who else has been kicked to the curb by CNN, MSNBS, and now FNC? Television does make strange bedfellows. It also says a lot about Carlson’s independent streak as a journalist that he has such a diverse group of opponents. He seems to have afflicted the powerful and comforted the afflicted right across the political spectrum.
WABC radio’s James Golden, aka Bo Snerdley, former call screener and friend of the late Rush Limbaugh, said Rush got sick and tired of being fired. After being let go seven times, Limbaugh decided he would never be fired again. Instead, he would own his product and sell it to distributors. Golden thinks Tucker Carlson is a prime candidate to do the same thing.
$100 million may not be that much of an offer, after all. It is in the range of what Carlson is getting now. And he was about to begin new contract talks with Fox. To clean up an old phrase, Carlson already has enough “buzz off” money to live out the rest of his days nicely.

Good point. :^) He needs to own his publishing, finding a deal like Joe Rogan. Rich Eisen has his program on Roku TV. SiriusXM (the car sat radio thing; IMHO it costs way too much and delivers far too little) might do it, Pandora (yeah, right), or that outfit that broadcasts Stern could be interested. He’ll probably wind up quasi-indie, but One America, Newsmax, or even this Valuetainment are most likely one way or the other.
He’s already lawyered up, and given their spinelessness, the Murdoch crime family will cave.
No doubt, Tucker will not work for corporate media again.
Bo Snerdly and Tucker would be a great team.
He does not have the same talent that Rush had. Maybe G-d will lend him some. We need someone, and it ain’t Greg, and it ain’t Tucker in his present state.
Agreed.
Tucker is a TV guy part of his popularity comes from his expressions, Rush did did TV and TV did not work for Rush, radio will NOT work for Tucker!! We NEED to get Tucker back on the airwaves ASAP!!! Fox is playing games to keep him OFF the air, he has to fight to get out of the contract!!!
NewsMax is standing by. Tucker is rich enough to afford a good lawyer.
Problem is, he doesn’t HAVE $100M, he’s counting on Tucker to bring in more than that so he can pay him that much. Tucker will do much better than this no-name outfit.
Good analysis.
Golden thinks Tucker Carlson is a prime candidate to do the same thing.
Rush taps box
He would make almost as much as a basketball player.
RE: He would make almost as much as a basketball player.
Yes, but his career would last 15 year at most.
You should listen to something by him on youtube or wherever. He has a very good delivery, and a sense of humor.
Steven Crowder was offered 10’s of millions and I never watch him so I expect Tucker Carlson will make a much bigger bundle.
Tucker Carlson should have in his new show, women in short skirts and much cleavage like Foxnews : )
Yep these people have a website and all their videos are on youtube. The owner may be rich but what will he do when googletube shuts him down? No broadcasting infrastructure at all. A gazillion individual youtubers have the same tech level.
