Hey there, radu!
I did. It was very hot, but luckily we got home from church and lunch before it hit the high point. We didn’t have evening service today [a 5th-Sunday thing we do] so I napped long and hard through most of it. When I woke up, the AC was on. LOL!
How were things over your way. Lots of tornadoes in the south today. Glad they missed your area!
Good evening, Mooch...glad you enjoyed today’s hero bio.
Good timing for the furnace to hit. No evening service to head out for. You were able to stay home in the AC. :-)
It was cool and really windy here as a cold front came through this afternoon. I was going to mow but decided against looking like a Chia Pet today. LOL I’d hoped to be able to give it a try tomorrow but it’ll be a repeat of today. *sigh*
I didn’t even know about the tornados in FL until I saw a clip on the news of cars being flipped over around Miami - - with people inside them. YIKES!!!! I’m glad we missed out on that weather.
WOOHOO!!! Piloting for the jumpers.
Good evening, Janey...((HUGS))...glad you had a nice day.
There was also a big bad one In Virginia Beach. Lots of downed trees and torn up homes. Thankfully, I don’t think there were any serious injuries.
I can’t believe how cool it is there where you are. I think I’m over the 40s, but would love for it to just stay under 90.
Right now, after the wind kicked up this evening, it’s back down to 68, and will remain in the 80s till next Friday. I’m gonna enjoy every moment of anything under 90. Really!
I only checked the radar once this afternoon when it suddenly got cloudy and dark. I only checked TN and saw we had some light showers moving this way with the cold front but didn’t look farther than that. Had no clue so much was going on south and east of here.
I can’t believe how cool it is here either! LOL I don’t like it. The cold nights are keeping my plants in the garage and they should be outside by now. They’re too big and heavy to move in and out each day so I’m hoping this week is the end of the cold. We’ll be back in the 70s this weekend.
Don’t like all this wind either. Mowing needs to be done but it’s going to be windy through Wednesday. I have a rain poncho with a hood and might just have to slip that on to keep the grass off. LOL
That’s quite a drop in temperature you have tonight. I imagine the kitties are grateful, even if it’s windy.
They seem glad all right. Poor little things don’t know whether to shed or grow undercoat. The nighttime temps are getting warm enough now, I can probably bring their warming pads in for good for this year. I had washed & put them away, but when it got down in the 40s last week, I put them back out.
Your poor garage plants are going to become vampire plants if they don’t get to go out into the sunshine pretty soon. LOL! Hey, maybe having a poncho on over your clothes is a good idea. Then you can shed the chia. :)
Yep, this spring has been hard on the outside critters with it flipping hot/cold all the time. A little worse there since you’ve had some hotter days than we have.
The plants in the garage get sunshine but not quite what they need this time of year. They’ll be much happier once I can put them outside in their usual spots.
I have a rain poncho with a hood and am seriously considering wearing it. Mowing NEEDS to be done this week or it’s going to get away from me. I didn’t mow last week and we’ve had rain since the last time. The grass is long and thick. Another of my “guardian angels” mowed the large areas with the tractor and big mower this weekend and that makes the yards look even shaggier. LOL
You have the nicest friends! It’s wonderful how they just do things without being asked to.
I’ll bet you can’t wait to get back on that fun mower...even though it’s a killer for your back.
Man! I’m gonna have to give up now. I’m sooooo darn sleepy....as you totally understand. See ya tomorrow!
Yesterday at Comanche Lake:
And, we had KFC supper yesterday and will have more of it later today.
How's everyone doing this morning?
Three of them were Hubby’s very close friends and the fourth is his cousin next door. One of them told me Hubby had asked him a while back to keep an eye on me and help out if he happened to pass before me and I assume he asked the other three as well. They’ve been here for me since the day after he passed and they’ve been a godsend. They showed me how to do several things Hubby never showed me how to do and now I don’t have to call on them very often. They have their own lives and don’t need an extra burden. I don’t want them to feel abused. But if something comes up, they’ll be here in a heartbeat.
This mowing thing is something they got together and discussed. I knew nothing about it until they started doing it. They just don’t know how grateful I am. I don’t think I can learn how to drive the tractor and operate that big mower and my fun mower is a bit small for the task. I almost sprang for a larger one but OUCH!! $$$$$$$$
Sleep well and sleep late! Catch ya tomorrow.
Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
Another pretty, pretty day for your outing with Gizmo at Comanche Lake. It looks like Gizmo had a blast.
Bless you and your helpers!
Thank you.
The blessings should all go to those guys. They really have been my guardian angels and made adjusting back to single life easier. I don’t know what I’d have done without them. I’m forever grateful for their help up to now and for any help in the future.
Blue is ready, but the weather isn’t.
Grrrrr.

Soldiers from 2nd Battalion the Royal Regiment of Scotland have taken part in the funeral of 13 soldiers killed in a battle during the American revolutionary war in South Carolina nearly 250 years ago.
Their remains were discovered by archaeologists last year at the site of the Battle of Camden in South Carolina.
