Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said Sunday a recent report on the party’s disappointing performance in last year’s midterms showed that the GOP was unable to lock down the support of independents, citing abortion messaging as a key reason why.
“The biggest takeaway we’re taking is independents did not break our way, which has to happen if we’re gonna win in 2024,” McDaniel said on “Fox News Sunday,” adding that the support of independents usually contributes to a “red wave.”

maybe because independents that didn’t vote had their ballots stolen and ‘submitted’ on their behalf?
No voter ID,
Mail in Ballots,
Ballot harvesting,
Ineligible voters remaining on voter rolls,
Dem Thugs running ballot counting operations,
Unmonitored ballot drop boxes,
Judges unwilling to investigate any of the above.

Totally agree. Republicans are painted as authoritarians in the media, and this added fuel to that fire.
All that fraud is overwhelming and we are powerless.
To wit: it was stunning how we saw House race after race topple from R to D nationally.
The ultimate gut-punch was seeing Nancy Pelosi retake the gavel as House speaker in January 2023.
2020 was a referendum on Trump. Full stop. He lost because women and independents do not like him. They will never like him. He is incapable of winning anything other than a primary. But that seems to be Republicans goal these days: Trump wins the primary and loses the general. Great strategy, everyone!

These morons have been singing this tune since Reagan left office.
Hence Romney and McCain and Ws “compassionate conservatism”
I’m done with this unigov nonsense.
So why didn’t women vote for Hillary?
Geez. No wonder he’s the head of the gopE in the senate. What with that deep thinking.
The vote in Kansas should have been a wake up call regarding being as extreme as democrats on abortion. They want it all the time and the GOP wanted to ban it completely. I’m not a supporter of abortion but know there are a large majority of women that do support the option to choose and they don’t want to see it taken away.
You do realize you made a fool of yourself?
Trump picked and endorsed Ronna McDaniel to be GOP Chair multiple times. She is his chosen leader.
They didn’t use her new weapon. The all new Fact Check site./s
So you are not the slightest bit curious about the unprecedented simultaneous halt to vote-counting in five key states on election night with Trump winning and the return the next morning with Biden winning?
For exactly the same reason. The 2016 election was a referendum of Hillary. Trump was a relative unknown, but everyone already knew how they felt about Hillary. Even women didn't like Hillary so they didn't vote for her.
2024 SHOULD be a referendum on Biden, and he should lose. But if Trump is the nominee, 2024 will be another referendum of Trump, and he is the one who will lose.
Whoever the election is a referendum on, they lose. And we are just walking into that trap again because Trump's ego will not allow him to come to terms with this.
The RINOs raised a lot of money on the back of fraud and did nothing.
Literally thousands of lawyers and observers and activists and judges have tried to find ways to overturn 2020. They failed. It's over. Stop it.
Stupid talk and overreaching on proposed National abortion bans after the SCOTUS ruling is what did it, in spite of the clear warning from the court not to do so.
