Mom-of-three blasts Washington school board for canceling music lessons for fourth grade students because they promote 'white supremacy culture and institutional violence'

A Washington mom-of-three slammed her local school board for canceling music lessons for fourth graders after a school board member alleged it was rooted in 'white supremacy culture' and 'institutional violence.'

Alesha Perkins blasted Olympia School District members after they voted last week to halt band and orchestra classes amid a million-dollar budget shortage.

Perkins called out School Board Director Scott Clifthorne, who argued that the school district was 'entrenched in… surrounded by white supremacy culture' at a meeting of concerned parents last week.

Clifthorne argued that music lessons beneficial but inequitable since students at certain schools can miss out on 'core instruction.'

But, Perkins argued that Clifthorne's narrative was false and lacked evidence.

'We have reached a level of absurdity in our school district, among our school board and our leadership that is just hard to ignore at this point,' Perkins told Fox & Friends.

One would think that even liberal parents would get tired of their children being held back by liberal school boards and prevented from pursuing an education in subjects such as music all in the name of equity.

There are a lot of school administrators and board members who should be hanging from lamp posts by now.

If the school district needs to make budget cuts, the place to cut would be in administration and DIE departments. They should not be cutting actual educational opportunities for the children.

That being said, anyone who still has their children in public schools is committing child abuse.

The only solution is to show up and vote to defund the schools at every opportunity - never approve budget requests, especially not overrides - teachers will stop believing what they believe in when it hits them in the wallet.

Our communist Montgomery county executive here in Maryland says he HAS to raise property taxes another $400/year (on average) FOR THE CHILDREN- for SCHOOLS!

All for “the schools,” “for the children.”
