The good-guy with a gun fired at the intruders, hitting Matas and Ferrando. Matas was hit seven times and is in critical but stable condition, but he is expected to survive. Beautiful, exactly how criminals like that should be dealt with.
If only the homeowner had bear spray available…
Damned straight !!! As well as another reason for high capacity mags.
And awesome aim for an 80 year young man.
Uh oh. New Mayor Brandon will be unhappy with the homeowner demonizing these citizens...
“However, it is not constructive to demonize youth who have otherwise been starved of opportunities in their own communities.”
“Our city must work together to create spaces for youth to gather safely and responsibly, under adult guidance and supervision, to ensure that every part of our city remains welcome for both residents and visitors.”
If only he had a bigger can of it........
Interesting that the Delgado, older guy (45) managed to avoid getting shot. He must have nine lives.
Whenever the authorities says two criminals should not have been shot, just say while I was pleading with one to tell me more about his dysfunctional family childhood the other was going to kill me. I couldn’t handle both inquiries at the same time.
LOL, But Yogi and Boo-Boo weren’t even there.
The ol’ Picinic Basket alibi.
Glad to see the 80 year old didn’t fall back on the “Fud” stereotype and carry either a revolver or a 1911.
I’d like to know what he did use, but with that many shots fired he must have had a wonder 9 of some sort.
And I’m glad his state didn’t force him to use a hobbled 10 round magazine in a weapon that could hold more (assuming that was the case. Who knows, maybe the old guy was a fast reloader.)
“Interesting that the Delgado, older guy (45) managed to avoid getting shot. He must have nine lives.”
More experienced. Stayed behind the younger dudes.
The homeowner has done exactly that by the scumbags heading to jail. (Hopefully for a long time.)
I suppose bear spray ought to be available in suppository form. After the roundup was over it could have been installed in the dummies just to remind them DFW 80 year old sharp shooters.
True, however I did fing some 15 round mags for the 1911.
fing=find
The story does say there were three occupants and that one occupant shot two of the geniuses. So maybe the occupants were armed to the teeth? But ten rounds could have done it: seven plus two plus one. You can see loading one slow learner up with seven just to make a point?
Or that he was just the guy in the front.
One is always curious about the good guy’s choice of weapon and caliber.
Sounds like someone might have seven
22 caliber extra holes in his body, as the late Jeff Quinn would have said.
