An Indiana bill heading to the desk of the state’s Republican governor would require schools to alert parents if their child requests a name or pronoun change.
The GOP-controlled House voted on Monday 63-28 mostly along party lines to send the controversial proposal to Gov. Eric Holcomb, two weeks after it was endorsed by the state Senate.
LGBTQ advocates have voiced concerns that the move could out transgender kids to their unsupportive families.
House Bill 1608, which has been likened to Florida’s notorious “Don’t Say Gay” law, also bans teaching “human sexuality” to students in pre-kindergarten to third grade — even though sex education in Indiana isn’t taught until fourth or sixth grade.

The world has gone mad.
Seriously, the bill should be that teachers be required to address students by their anatomically correct pronouns. Stop messing around with that at school, not in their lane. If its a boy, ‘he’. If its a girl, ‘she’.
*** LGBTQ advocates have voiced concerns that the move could out transgender kids to their unsupportive families.***
Nobody loves a child more than the parents of that child. LGBTQ ACTIVISTS, not merely advocates, aren’t supportive of the biological sex of these kids.
I applaud the Indiana house and senate for passing this bill, and pray that Gov. Holcomb signs it. He hasn’t been a strong leader. May he grow a spine.
Teaching liberals to stay in CA and suck it.
Good thing Pence is no longer governor of Indiana so he can cave like he did on the state ban of gay “marriage”.
“send the controversial proposal to Gov. Eric Holcomb,“
Only in a world that has gone insane would this be considered a controversial proposal
63-28 the controversial proposal Does not sound like it is very controversial. The vast majority voted for it.
This law could “out” transgender kids to unsupportive families?
Do they want these kids to be transgender in school but not at home? Why is the goal apparently to keep parents in the dark?
Seems to me this is a no-brainer type of legislation , but apparently the liberal view is to be opposed , to having parents know about these transgender transitions
Can “Little Bastard” be a pronoun? If so, schools have been changing pronouns for a hundred years now.
I’m guessing you were a hell raiser in school?
This is a thing because the National Education Association and the American Federation of Teachers are both largely organizations of perverted sexual predators. They want to rape your daughters, slaughter any resulting babies, and emasculate your sons.
20 years ago the following thoughts would have been impossible to understand by any rational sane human being on planet Earth:
Children who think they might want to change their sex are taken charge of by schools which rush them to therapists who give them pills that stop the normal development of their bodies. The schools participate in the kids’ delusions by forcing the school staff to use the wrong pronouns. School staff all join forces in conspiring to keep this information from the kid’s parents.
And the school staff is not thrown into jail.
But the state seizes custody from parents if the parents won’t use the fake pronouns.
That could be one interpretation of an eventful K thru 12 experience......Better than Dumbass.

Thank you very much! Your support is greatly appreciated!
God bless you.
The article stated that it was voted on “mostly along party lines”, so I checked, and it was completely along party lines. No R voted against it, and no D voted for it. I agree that it is NOT controversial, except among the LGBT crowd, and I would have to take a guess that even the LGBs are getting tired of the nonsense spewed by the Ts.

I knew a few hell raisers in my day. Turned out to be pretty nice folks most of the time. Not always, but most were happy and productive once they graduated from HS.
It’s is a good thing he’s gone, but we will have to see what Holcomb will do with this.
This is common sense. The fact that it has to be legistaled and is demonized shows how far we’ve fallen.
If I want to change my name I have to petition the judge here.
So now teachers are above the law?
