Four men were charged in an early morning home invasion in Bethlehem Township, the Northampton County district attorney’s office said.
Two of the men were shot by an occupant of the house, leaving one in critical condition, and a third remained at large Thursday afternoon.

I hate it when the media fails to provide such important information. I like to know the type of firearm and the brand of ammo used. If a shotgun, I’d like to know if it was loaded with .00 or with bird shot. Providing that information would be a great contribution to market research.

According to a news release, Millito Delgado, 45, Michael Matas, 29, Francis Ferrando, 23, and Anthony Santiago, 29, entered the house on the 2000 block of Willow Park Road around 4 a.m. Thursday.
What is their immigration status? In the cities of Allentown, Bethlehem, Hazelton, Reading and Philadelphia, there are thousands of Dominicans who pretend to be Puerto Ricans so they won’t get deported.
From 1962 to 1998, the island of Puerto Rico was giving out fake birth certificates to those born in the Dominican Republic and other Caribbean nations (for $500). It got so bad that the USA State Department declared ALL Puerto Rican birth certificates (going back 100 years) would have to be reissued.
So anyone born in Puerto Rico from 1898 to 1998, has to petition the Puerto Rican government for a new birth certificate with special hologram seal. Anything else will not be considered proof of PR citizenship.
I thought it was just me having trouble with the math.
My daughter lives in Bethlehem Township, which is a nice place to live.

You do realize that the typical media person covering local news does not know the difference between a shotgun and a polish sausage. His/her conjecture if added to the story would probably be very entertaining however.
This information accounts for the suspects. Weapon is not mentioned but only 1 occupant fired 8 wounds are noted.
Suspect Michael Matas, 29, suffered seven gunshot wounds to the back and was initially taken to St. Luke’s Hospital-Warren Campus in Phillipsburg, N.J., before being taken to a hospital in Pennsylvania, officials said. He was listed in critical but stable condition and was awaiting arraignment as of Thursday afternoon, according to Houck’s office.
Matas is expected to survive, the DA’s office said.
Additional suspects Millito Delgado, 45, and 23-year-old Francis Ferrando were each arraigned and sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $500,000 bail each, according to Houck’s office.
Ferrando was shot once in a leg in the incident, the DA’s office said. Houck said his office is investigating how both wounded suspects made it to hospitals.
A fourth suspect, 29-year-old Anthony Santiago, remained at large, the news release states. There was no danger seen to the general public, Houck said.
Forewarned is forearmed. What to expect? Four perps with handguns? A couple of rifles? The AR-15 with 30 round mags starts to look like an essential home defense weapon if the media inform of the potential danger.
