Senate Democrats advanced seven of President Joe Biden's judicial nominees through committee on Thursday with Republican votes, shelving others that lack bipartisan backing with Sen. Dianne Feinstein absent.
The move by Senate Judiciary Chair Dick Durbin, D-Ill., marks a change in course after he had repeatedly delayed meetings since early March to advance a package of judges, lacking the decisive vote of Feinstein, D-Calif., who is out indefinitely on medical leave.
“We wish our colleague, Sen. Feinstein, a speedy recovery and return,” Durbin said. “We hope she’ll be back in the Senate very soon. Today’s agenda includes a number of judicial nominees who have been sitting on the agenda for some time. Some have bipartisan support. There’s nothing to prevent us from calling and voting on these nominees today.”
The panel voted to advance Mónica Ramírez Almadani and Wesley Hsu to be district court judges in California; Jeffrey Irvine Cummings and LaShonda Hunt to be district court judges in Illinois; Michael Farbiarz and Robert Kirsch to be district court judges in New Jersey; and Orelia Eleta Merchant to be a district court judge in New York.

I think one of the things that pissed me off the worst over the four years of Trump’s presidency, is the fact that as he worked to implement policies that the GOP had campaigned on for the past few decades, the GOP worked against him. They had asked for money from their voters promising that if elected they would do everything from closing the borders to repealing Obamacare. When they had the majority in the House, the Senate, and a President willing to act, they dug their heels in and joined with the left in stopping many of Trump’s policies from being implemented.
And, they joined in the pile-on created by Clinton’s Russia/Trump collusion criminal conspiracy. “Let the process play out” they said, as they made the Sunday talk show circuit to give credence to the accusations.
And now, they look the other way or even actually join in to support the left as Biden completes the destruction of our country that Obama started in 2008.
Those such as Romney and Graham should have been voted out sometime ago but the deep state machine finds them useful so assures they are re-elected every six years.
By now, they can’t possibly be so stupid as to think that their good will is going to be reciprocated in the future by Dem☭crats. They’re doing this willingly because there’s no difference between them once they hit DC.
For two years they were in the minority and couldn’t do anything even if they wanted to.

The conservative baseball manager Sparky Anderson (champion Cincinnati Reds and Detroit Tigers) said there were always guys who tried to pretend to be a little hurt or sick to get out of the lineup on the days the other side’s best pitchers were on the mound.

And these same Republican’s campaigned or will campaign on stopping the activist judges and doing whatever they can to stop Biden and the Left.
