Poll: Trump Expands Lead over Joe Biden to 5 Percent

Former President Donald Trump has expanded his lead over President Joe Biden to five points, according to a hypothetical presidential general election poll.

The Harvard-Harris poll released Thursday shows that 45 percent of registered voters back Trump versus 40 percent who back Biden. Another 15 percent of voters are undecided. Trump slightly expanded his lead compared to last month’s Harvard Harris poll, which found him leading Biden at 45 percent to 41 percent respectively.

While Trump enjoys a larger lead over Biden, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) also bests the president in a head-to-head matchup with 43 percent of support to Biden’s 40 percent. A DeSantis-Biden matchup sees a larger undecided demographic at 17 percent. DeSantis and Biden are each down one point compared to March’s poll, when they registered at 44 percent and 41 percent, respectively.

Trump also expanded his lead over DeSantis in the GOP primary compared to last month. Trump holds 55 percent of support among Republican voters in a crowded field, nearly tripling the 20 percent of voters who back DeSantis.

Trump’s lead over the governor has grown a net nine percentage points since March when Harvard-Harris found 24 percent of Republicans supported DeSantis and 50 percent would vote for the 45th president.

These are the numbers that give me comfort.

Trump beating DeSantis is a no brainer.

But this gives me real optimistism!

5%? That’s horrible.

What is WRONG with people in society today?

I have no doubt that Trump was easily +5 over Biden in the 2020 election. Even during the election count, Trump was above Biden.

It’s the overnight ‘polls’ that overcame the Trump leads, and the same will happen again. Trump needs to lead by 10% or more at election day, and then, have monitors at the polling places and at the machines and at the counting stations.

Otherwise, +5% ain’t getting it.

Check out the methodology.

They got what they polled for.

Trump was trailing about 5% behind Biden in all major polls leading up to the election. He did a bit better, but not enough. A 5% lead now is a disaster and we need to find another candidate.

If people really felt this way, Deep State wouldn’t have to steal elections, would it?

Sheesh, people.

Its not like we haven’t been up to our backsides before in cooked polls.

How about likely voters? How about voters in GA/PA/MI/WI and AZ?

I get a strong feeling we’re seeing a 2008/2012 style marching into a loss if we stick with Trump.

I don’t know who can do much better, but this whole situation is frankly scary to me.

Sorry but these numbers mean nothing. All it means is Trump will probably have a lead over Biden on election night. But the lead will quickly vanish over the next 72 hours.

There is no “likely” voters anymore. Gotta control a majority of ballots

Biden will never go below 40%. That’s the ratio of voters on govt. Freebies.

There have been some polls that indicate almost 30% of Trump supporters won’t support another candidate.

So there’s a loss right there.

Let’s say it’s Ron DeSantis and he can turn that 30% of non-supporters into 5%. That’s still too close. And the press hasn’t even started beating him up yet (why do you think Hillary, Soros, etc. want him nominated?).

And then you have the low information voters, many of whom don’t even know what the First Amendment says or that we even have one.

Yesterday I learned of Andrew Breitbart’s phrase “default liberal”. He used it to describe himself when all that was on TV was leftist talking points; everyone around him was a leftist. Therefore he was leftist.

So yes you can have a party (Democrats) seeking economic oblivion, disarmament of the population, legalization of hard drugs, erasure of our borders, potential nuclear war and surgical sterilization of our future generations and the “default liberal”, with precious little knowledge of our system, will dutifully vote for the Democrat.

When accounting for fraud and corruption, DJT would need an 85% lead over FJB . . .

IMO it’s the cost of the abortion thing. That led to gutting the 1st, 2nd, 5th, and the rest. Hope it was worth it guys!

I do not like it, but Repubs are going to have to bank mail-in and early votes, and ballot harvest like the communists do

What amazes me is how the abortion issue is so important that those who favor it are willing to give up everything to have it. China had a right to abortion and they used it on their people. It isn’t a far stretch from here to there.

Abortion would never effect me personally, so I really don’t care. I can see how some people are pro and con. Just not something I care about though.

I do think it’s insane to give up everything to ban abortion. Because once the rest is banned by the left, abortion will be free-for-all once again quickly.

A lot of people are just plain stupid and can’t think logically or well at all.
