A top U.S. official is concerned that many of the unexplained encounters between military aircraft and unidentified flying objects his office is investigating could be adversaries such as China spying on the country, rather than wayward extraterrestrials.
The director of the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office updated the Senate Armed Services Subcommittee on Emerging Threats and Capabilities on Wednesday about what his office has been doing since its creation last year.
“This is a hunt mission for what might somebody be doing in our backyard that we don’t know about,” AARO Director Sean M. Kirkpatrick said. “That is what we are doing.”
The special office was created last year to address national security threats from "objects of interest," including "anomalous, unidentified space, airborne, submerged and transmedium" ones.

Pretty sure “aliens” could care less about being allies or anything else we could comprehend.
if “aliens” are helping some group of humans for some reason than it is likely there is another group, or two or three other groups of aliens helping other humans.
Which of them only want to serve man is my question.

Its almost a virtual certainty. Obviously, they came looking for the US. Of course after such a long flight from Beta Brahe things were going to have hiccups. They probably intended to get here hundreds of years from now but after spilling a bit of coffee on the control panel they wound up getting here a few thousand years ago.
Makes perfect sense, and being such noble aliens, they intend to be hostile but cant attack an unarmed victim. Now they just have to hang around until our tech catches up then...

I don’t so agree regarding the tic-tac, but China’s tech is well on the way to surpassing ours, if it hasn’t already.
