Singers Sheryl Crow and Amy Grant teamed up to lobby Tennessee lawmakers for more gun control on Tuesday. NewsChannel5 reported Crow saying, “We’re just here to give voice what a lot of, not only artists, musical artists, but also moms, dads, [want].”
She added, “We’re Nashvillians, we’re also moms.”
Grant said, “Nashville is in a unique position to do this work.”
Rolling Stone reported that Crow and Grant are joined by Kacey Musgraves and Jason Isbell. The four artists are part of a new gun control group called Voices for a Safer Tennessee.

Amy Grant was supposed to be a conservative Christian? Not since she broke her marriage vows. About two decades ago.

These two twits are free to disarm themselves all they want, but they have no right to demand that other Americans be disarmed. Otherwise, any of us can make demands on them that they don’t want but have no choice but to comply.
Sorry babes. No sale.

Amy Grant is reformed in name only, but so most Christianity that wants to think of them selves as Reformed, they are also reformed in name only and not even in the ball park theologically.

Tennessee has a love affair with firearms.
Air Head Celebrities will not have much impact there. They might listen to country and western singer celebs, but they are just like the citizens of TN.

Amy is a Harpeth Hall alum and I wonder how liberal that school is becoming.
I met Amy’s father decades ago at a Kentucky Fried Chicken on Richard Jones Road in Nashville. He was a real conservative. She has become a shallow member of the trendy set and now she is apparently an across-the-board Leftist.

The gossip pages candy coat her affair with Vince Gill but people that were close to them while they were married to others knew they were bumping uglies long before they got their divorces. Janice is a nice woman but Gary was a drug addict.

they should spend more time promoting a Ban of Gun Free Zones movement. That might actually save lives, instead of just feeding their vanity.

I just did my small part. My wife is at the grocery store and I counted nine Amy Grant CD’s that went in the trash. I never did care for her “music” after that horrible “Baby, Baby” drivel. I think my wife will concur once she hears the evidence. I hope. Gulp.

Here is the problem with the Reformed practice. Most (excluding MacArthur) believe that there is no 1000 year Millennium when Christ rules from a literal throne in Jerusalem. They likewise reject the pre-eminence of Israel during that dispensation. Instead they believe Christ is already on David's throne and that we are living in the Millennium. The responsibility for bringing in world peace, ending hunger, ridding the land of poverty rests with the Church. Like Catholics they use an soft allegorical hermeneutic and generally shy away from eschatology and teaching Revelation. With such an approach is it any wonder that prominent figures of New Calvinism (R.C. Sproul, J.I. Packer, Tony Evans) have ardently opposed conservatives.
Of course, in today's rampant apostasy, fundamentalist-evangelicals are also very weak in Bible exposition -- but they are somewhat still conservative on cultural issues.
