I highly doubt that he went to the wrong house accidentally. That doesn’t sit right with me.
The only thing that will matter to me is if the youth entered the premises without permission. If he just stayed on the stoop and he was shot, than he was shot unlawfully, imo. If he entered the home, it’s a lawful shoot, imo.
He’s said to have rung the doorbell bell, J30.
People used to actually do that in this country. And not just to sell girl scout cookies.
Strange, the door was not damaged, neither was the outside storm door (it looks like one where you can change from plastic windows to screen depending on the season).
So the young man either
1. Was not outside and entered the house thinking he had the right one
or
2. The was outside and the homeowner opened the door and shot.
At this point we don’t know.
The victim was shot while on the porch. He ran into the yard and was shot again.
The homeowner needs to be locked up for life
The 16 year old is in band playing a sax.
He ain’t a criminal. I bet he just did not know the address was wrong so tried the door handle. He was lucky he was hit by glass pieces and not the bullet.
I don’t blame the old man for shooting him. Yarl seems like a nice kid, but he is black, and therefore white people, and in fact, any race of person is justified in shooting first and asking questions later under the circumstances. St Louis is chugging-full of N-words, Yarl was mistaken for one of them.
Think of this as a Vulcan Hello.

Andrew Lester reportedly told the police the kid wasn’t in the home.
