Former President Donald Trump has a double-digit lead in the hypothetical Republican primary race in Arizona, a recent J.L. Partners survey found.

The survey asked registered Republicans, “Thinking ahead to the 2024 Republican Primary for President of the United States, if the primary were held today and the candidates were the following, for whom would you vote?”

Several individuals were listed, including Trump, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former Rep. Liz Cheney, former U.S. ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley, anti-woke businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, former Vice President Mike Pence, South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott, former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo—the last of whom said he will not run for president.

Trump takes a 23-point lead over his closest potential challenger, Gov. DeSantis, with 47 percent support to the governor’s 24 percent support.

The survey also put Trump and DeSantis in a head-to-head match and found Trump leading, garnering support from over half with 52 percent. DeSantis saw 35 percent support, and 13 percent remain undecided:

Arizona 2024: Trump holds 23-point lead for Republican Nomination

Trump — 47%
DeSantis — 24%
Cheney — 4%
Pence — 4%
Haley — 3%
Ramaswamy — 2%
Pompeo — 1%
T. Scott — 1%

For example, the latest Victory Insights survey examining the race in Florida showed a 25-point swing from DeSantis to Trump in a head-to-head since November.

The survey also put Trump and DeSantis head-to-head and found Trump still leading, 46.6 percent to the governor’s 31.8 percent. Notably, this reflects a significant swing in favor of Trump since the survey’s findings in November, when DeSantis led 47.4 percent to Trump’s 36.5 percent.

Similarly, a Victory Insights survey released last week showed Trump leading his field in the Iowa Caucus with majority support, equaling a 29.8 percent lead.

Things were great under Trump. His administration had good foreign and domestic policy.

Who wouldn’t want that. He’s proven he can do it because he did it.

That’ll increase Trump’s totals.

When you can’t beat Cheney in a primary poll, hang it up.

It’s over. At this point, I doubt DeSantis even throws his hat in the ring.

Yet Trump would lose Arizona to Biden while DeSantis would win against Biden.

I don’t put much into polls, but if that is the hill you want to die upon, then Trump is unelectable.

The only poll that counts is the one on election day.

No path to 270. Electability is nonsense. Obama was completely unelectable in 2008 and he landslided the GOPe best chance in 2 straight elections. Also, who cares, if Trump is unelectable then the country is unfixable. Best to find out sooner rather than later.

The McCain people are alive and well in AZ . How many “DeSantis supporters” voted against Kari Lake ? A sizable chunk I would say.

Anyone, especially any truly conservative Republican, who would consider voting for either Cheney or Pence should make an appointment asap with a psychiatrist!

Speaking of Kari Lake reminds me that I’m praying Trump’s advisors will convince him that he should NOT pick a woman to be his running mate, because I believe it would induce millions of fence-sitting females to vote en masse against the Trump ticket.

These polls will mean nada on, and after, election day because the GOP has done nothing to stop the cheating.

Lake would be instantly Palin-ized - more than she already has. But Trump has no chance without a Deep State-approved VP, anyway - so he’ll probably end up with Pompeo.
