We sold our rental after reading stories like this.

I only have one question:
In the case of these entitled squatters, where do you put the tow hook?
The ripped holes in the walls looking for copper wire and plumbing. And, sometimes they just do it for fun. Vermin like that exist everywhere now and it’s a constant battle to keep they out of unoccupied homes and rentals
Jail for a long time. They’ll be really happy in jail.

May I offer a solution.
My father had 6-7 rental properties in San Antonio.
Sometime people āforgetā to pay rent or are late.
Heād ask them for payment. If this had happened at my dadās rentals ā¦..well then cousins or āfriendsā of my cousins would show up and explain that they needed to move.
The reason they were so helpful was that the got to keep anything in the house, and one months rent and the deposit.
If someone just broke in and squattedā¦ hahahahahhaa. NOBODY calls the cops in our old neighborhood. Unless they were a visitor or brand new gentrified tenant.
The problem now with this particular incident is that the āpublicā knows about it and the cops know about it.
Just let the dogs lick up antifreeze and a couple of broken arms and legs wouldnāt even show up in the newspaper. If it did, then a ātsk-tskā and page turned to the sports section.
