The “leaked” document was perhaps the media’s exit ramp after propagandizing the American people (and many freepers) with lies for two years. As Mark Twain said it’s easier to fool people than it is to tell people they’ve been fooled.

Despite having risen to the lofty rank of SP5 during my stellar Army career I can’t claim any military expertise. But it’s still hard for me to imagine that KGB in Moscow losing a war of attrition like this.

Based on that assessment from the US, Russia should wrap this up in a few weeks.
It’s intentional misinformation so the military industrial complex can have yet another war. It’s way too soon to end things. They haven’t needlessly had any American soldiers killed or permanently disabled yet.
