My impression of the VP in charge of this mess is that she believed that inclusivity would reap financial rewards. These folks always get back-handed by reality.
She has absolutely nothing to fear. She will be kept on; to fire her would suggest that the Board is not ‘trans-friendly’. The blowback/fiscal impacts from THAT, in their minds at least, would be worse. It sickens my heart, but I believe they’d be right about that.
I doubt the brave men and women who have fought so valiantly in this nation’s wars ever thought that one day people with gender dysphoria or other deviant lifestyle would be glorified by the very government that sent them to die in a far away land.
Well, as I write this it occurs to me that maybe somehow they figure Uncle Sam will bail them out. Uncle Sam has a printing press, after all. He can just print it up at our expense. But even then there's a limit.
