Google, Twitter, Meta and TikTok’s executive ranks have included over 200 former employees of surveillance government agencies, creating an employment pipeline between the government and Big Tech companies, a Daily Caller investigation found.
The technology companies recruited 248 employees from the DOJ, FBI, CIA and DHS, a LinkedIn search revealed. The hiring occurred mostly between 2017-2022, with several filling top director positions after having decade-long careers in the surveillance agencies.
Google hired 130 former DOJ, DHS, CIA and FBI employees, the Daily Caller’s key term cursory search on LinkedIn found. Meta, the company that owns Facebook and Instagram, employed 47 people for those three entities who were previously at the DOJ, FBI or DHS. TikTok, the Chinese-based app embattled with national security concerns, employed 25 former DOJ, FBI, DHS or CIA employees. Twitter had 46 executives who had previously spent time working for the three-letter agencies.

Government has been working on that for years. A free and truly open internet as in the early 90s was to good to be true and last. Already by the late 90s things were going to $hit when the government chose Google to be the winner and subsidized them, crushing Altavista and all the other competitors.
Today big Tech, unchecked by an FCC that is impotent for those with real political pull (Cisco and Windows years ago), has monopolies out there, example Meta today.
Finally, when you get government and these few monopolies working together, you get what you have today, example Amazon.
The internet as a open and free (as in liberty) forum where you have the exchange of ideas is dead. It’s a highly controlled environment where you have corporate and government cooperation, a few monopolies or oligopolies running it all.
Obama has destroyed the USA.
This is not a real employment in the usual sense of the term. They are on loan to these big tech companies, to infiltrate and influence. Their allegiance remains to the spy agency that got them the job.
How does an employer know they are “former” feds? They could be implants spying on your business to make sure you don’t use incorrect pronouns. Fedgov on your resume is probably a non-starter for me.
