Casey to seek reelection to Senate in Pennsylvania
The Hill ^ | 04/10/2023 | JULIA MUELLER

Democratic Sen. Bob Casey on Monday announced he’ll seek reelection to represent Pennsylvania in the U.S. Senate for a fourth term.

“Folks, I’m running for re-election. There’s still more work to do to cut through the gridlock, stand up to powerful special interests, and make the lives of hardworking Pennsylvanians easier,” Casey said on Twitter.

“Pennsylvania is one of the most competitive states in the country, and our race will be one of the most expensive and competitive in 2024,” he added in a separate post.

The incumbent’s decision to run again is good news for Democrats, who faced an uphill battle to get Democratic Sen. John Fetterman to replace retiring Republican Sen. Pat Toomey for Pennsylvania’s other upper chamber seat last year. The battleground state will likely be crucial to whether Democrats keep their slim Senate majority in 2024.

Who said he wasn’t going to seek reelections. RATS on the hill are hard to get rid of.

If braindead Fatter-man can win then this state is done-—never to see an R-win in any state wide election.

Correct. Bob Casey surfaces only once every six years, right before election time. Then he tours some PA factory while wearing a hard hat. Then it’s back to sleep for six more years.

But for those not in the know, the name “Casey” is magical among older Pennsylvanians. It’s due to his father having been governor long ago. So combine name recognition with D cheating, and it’s six more years for Bob.

The fraud is so well organized and unchallenged in Philadelphia and Pittsburg, no statewide Republican candidate can win in Pennsylvania.

Fixed.

No one is going into the Philly ghettos to make them quit cheating. They have a blank check to cheat all they want.

Just got a Casey solicitation for donations via text. My reply was STOP!

The R party in PA is content winning local elections. The newsletters my PA 'state' reps distribute are all about local issues. Anyone with a brain understands that voter fraud and perennial democrat cheating in Philly and Pittsburgh are THE problem in PA. The R people in the PA General Assembly (PA state reps and senators) show no interest in addressing the issues that disenfranchise PA conservative voters.

To show you how inept the PA republican party is, understand that it was responsible for PA Act 77 in 2020, which legalized indiscriminate mail-in voting. This helped Biden win PA.

With media, voter fraud and PA Act 77 on his side, I see no republican beating Casey in 2024. Unless voter fraud in particular is addressed in PA, I see no republicans winning any major PA race well into the future.

Exactly. I don’t recall the last time I read an article about Casey or saw him on the news. He’s the master of a no profile do nothing.

Well that's a relief. I was worried that maybe the message wasn't winning over enough voters.

I’d venture a fair number of idiots in PA still think he is his father.

You know it! And father Casey is a folk hero of sorts because the Democrat Party would not allow him to deliver a pro-life message at their 1992 convention. So he delivered it anyway at another venue so as to thumb his nose at them.

So all the Catholic Democrats in PA think the son is a chip off the old block. He isn't. Not even close. He does what he is told by his handlers.

The rumor mill on Twitter is that Doug Mastriano intends to toss his hat into PA’s senate race as well, after losing his gubernatorial bid by 15 points.

I think the Pennsylvania democrats still think they are voting for his dad, who for some odd reason is remembered as having been a good governor, which he wasn’t.
