You are correct. The brand is in decline, but not from demographics. Actually, Bud Light does fairly well among younger beer drinkers and even women, who still make up less than 40% of its market... but far more than other beer brands. The problem is Bud Lite is to beer what skim milk is to milk.
Beer is still unpopular with women, for some unchangeable reasons: it’s a fantastically calorically inefficient system for delivering alcohol that still sells because men enjoy the taste. The stronger the flavor, the more male-dominated the market.
