To be fair, he’s telling the truth. Everywhere he visits and opens his mouth, freedom is under attack.
Every year the Cato institute puts out a freedom ranking of all 50 states. The more freedom a state has, the higher in the list they are. The states with the least freedoms, to the bottom of the list.
Out of 50 states, California is way near the bottom at number 48 (Hawaii and New York are 49 and 50, respectively). California has held steady at 48 for a lot of years now.
