Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has chosen a finance director for his prospective presidential campaign, two sources close to DeSantis said on Thursday.

Lauren Lofstrom, who served as finance director for Texas Senator Ted Cruz during his 2016 presidential campaign, is joining DeSantis' political operation and has begun meeting with the governor's allies to discuss fundraising strategies, said the sources who spoke on condition of anonymity.

Others who have joined DeSantis' political operation include Jason Johnson, who served as Cruz's chief strategist in 2016, the sources said.

Trump is a threat to REPUBLICAN power and this is why he is dangerous to people like you. You and the Donor class are headed for permanent minority status, and that is a beautiful thing.

Trump has about 35% of Republican voters

Perot had 8% and that kept President Skull and Bones on the sidelines.

And I'll be sure to thank Trump for a Democrat House, Senate, White House, and thirteen SCOTUS justices, eight of whom will be far left commies.

You might think this is going to be a beautiful thing but I certainly don't.

It isn't a matter of what I think, rather it's more what I can affect and given the scam that was the 2020 election, that isn't much. Your vote will be received and given acceptance or rejection as needed. But I urge you to remain hopeful, and above all keep donating to Meatball. He's the new, shinny Thing and people like you keep falling for it.

Unlike Trump, DeSantis is both conservative and is capable of winning elections.

Trump is a liberal and a loser.

But I also understand that at this moment Trump has a lock on the GOP nomination. This is because there's a plurality of Republican voters who no longer care about winning elections or advancing conservatism, only that they follow their cult leader to the great Kool-Aid party that will take place in November, 2024.

Yeah, Bush lost, but Bill Clinton won, and that "two-for-one" victory launched Hillary's political career and the rise of the crooked Clinton Foundation.

How'd that work out for the country and the Conservative movement?

But hey, at least George H.W. Bush got shown the door...

ARE YOU ACTUALLY PROUD OF THAT?

DeSantis is both conservative and is capable of winning elections.

The conservative movement died when Buckley turned on the paleoconservatives, handing the keys over to Neoconservatives. Keep the label. It's worth about 5% of the electorate.

WTF does Trump know about the middle class?

Apparently a lot.chgogal posted:

Which POTUS was as successful as Trump? Look at what Trump accomplished:

  1. Gas price per gallon was about $2.30;
  2. Inflation about 1.4%, mortgage rates were half of what they are now;
  3. Unemployment was low before Covid and before Blue Governors shut everything down and we were in the midst of a V-shape recovery until January 22, 2021;
  4. Tax decrease; tax laws promoted small businesses as well as large;
  5. US enjoyed energy independence - No Green Agenda, no war on energy, No Paris Treaty;
  6. No war in Ukraine, no threat of nuclear war, NATO paid its way;
  7. China was quiet and we were winning the trade war;
  8. US companies were bringing home the jobs due to well executed tax treatments;
  9. Peace in the Middle East aka Abraham Accords; US Embassy moved to Jerusalem; and Iran was isolated.
  10. Got three non-left “I don't know what a woman is” Supreme Court Justices on the bench allowing Roe vs Wade to be overturned.

Who the heck can accomplish the above in four years while being impeached twice and investigated by Obama's Weaponized Agencies?

That's a really poor way to excuse corruption and hypocrisy just to try and excuse Trump's prior chumminess with the Clintons and his financial support of their crime syndicate.

I think RAT hackers combed through FReepers’ histories, found those who have been inactive for years, and stole online identities.

How did they get the passwords?

The conservative movement died when Buckley turned on the paleoconservatives, handing the keys over to Neoconservatives. Keep the label. It's worth about 5% of the electorate.

So let's support the guy who spent like a drunk democrat, filled his administration full of deep state swamp creatures, handed the keys of the country over to Dr. Fauci, banned guns, endorsed Stacey Abrams, throws gay parties at Mar-A-Lago, pays hush money to porn stars and Playmates, and will be soundly defeated in 2024.

Trump said people would get tired of winning and you all certainly did.

Personally, I've gotten tired of losing.

Pretend that our elections aren't rigged?

Keep crying about stolen elections. That's a winning message.

At least guys like DeSantis and Youngkin defended their campaigns against election fraud and won.

Trump just cries about it. He has no plan to combat it. He just uses the fraud claim to raise money from the dupes who worship him (which he then pockets, or occasionally pays his lawyers --the ones he didn't stiff).
