Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has chosen a finance director for his prospective presidential campaign, two sources close to DeSantis said on Thursday.
Lauren Lofstrom, who served as finance director for Texas Senator Ted Cruz during his 2016 presidential campaign, is joining DeSantis' political operation and has begun meeting with the governor's allies to discuss fundraising strategies, said the sources who spoke on condition of anonymity.
Others who have joined DeSantis' political operation include Jason Johnson, who served as Cruz's chief strategist in 2016, the sources said.

Trump will never be re-elected, the corruption is too deep. He will, however, destroy the political order and to that end American citizens should dance and sing.
“Why did you disappear for five years?”
I think RAT hackers combed through FReepers’ histories, found those who have been inactive for years, and stole online identities.
They’re called ReAnimators. They’ve come back to life.
Another Cruz in the race, this time named DeSantis.
“They’re called ReAnimators.”
Is that “a thing”? If you made it up, that’s pretty good.
I have been watching Senator Cruz in hearings videos.
He is kicking democrat ass to the point of nearly drawing blood.
He crucified an Afro, not AfroAmerican, Heritage candidate for judge. She will remember the trashing for years and understand that as important as she thinks she is, she doesn’t measure up. She is just unequal.
Get back to me Comrade when you figure out how Trump wins Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Arizona in the 2024 general election, even IF there is no Democrat cheating, should he somehow become the Republican nominee (which he won’t).
So just a minor payoff to the Clintons to grease the business gears is A-OK, right? Hypocrisy and corruption is bad only when Democrats engage in it apparently.
So how'd that work out for Teddy, his Bull Moose Party, and the Republican Party in 1912, and not to mention the country at large with Woodrow Wilson's victory?
LOL!
Trump doesn’t win, rather he will destroy the American political order. That’s why he’s feared and that’s his political brilliance. The very last thing the entrenched Power fears is the (s)election of another controlled R or D. But a street savvy man with millions of supporters? That’s Power they fear. That can ruin their day. Now run along you silly Cheerleader. Look for that Next New Thing that will make you hop and and down like a child.
Not mine. It's from a fellow, anti-war poster.
The only political order Trump destroys is the ability for Republicans to get elected.
In 2024 the Democrats will sweep everything. White House, House, and Senate. Then they'll pack the court with four more justices (five when they get to replace Thomas). All the conservative advances in SCOTUS will be rolled back.
Trump doesn't destroy the American political order. He advances liberalism by sending Democrats to Washington. Nobody on the left is afraid of him. They're salivating over the prospect to clobber him again.
He's going to be a catastrophe for America.
And then Biden wins re-election, or if he's out by then, either Harris or Newsome wins. Good to know that you're A-OK with that just to fulfil some stupid revenge fantasy and conspiracy theory.
You don’t know that
You’ve made assumptions that are not provable
But keeping like that and you’ll (and all of us) will pay the price
And remember; Trump has the people; Meatball has the donors.
If electing Republicans helped America, we'd be in fine shape. As it is, I've been watching Republicans get elected all my life, while the nation slips further and further into the abyss. Meatball and his Donors aren't the answer. Rather a deconstruction of the Power is. Win or lose, Trump is the only threat to that Power.
Trump is no threat to the Democrats' power. He keeps sending them to Washington.
Trump has about 35% of Republican voters. But keep on deluding yourself, Comrade.
