A metro area woman said her car and dog were stolen by individuals experiencing homelessness.
“They took off with my car and my dog,” Julie Oliva said.
Oliva said in late March, she stopped to help a man experiencing homelessness. She admits to letting him inside her Alfa Romeo to warm up.
Soon after that man got out of her car, she said she noticed her cell phone was missing.
Oliva said she then made contact with a group of people, also experiencing homelessness, who claimed to know the man in question.
What can legally be done with a meth-contaminated home? Oliva said she allowed that group to ride with her in an attempt to find the alleged suspect. Once they arrived at the destination, Oliva said she got out of her 2020 Alfa Romeo to look for him.
She admitted to leaving the car running and said the group stole it. Her dog, Gigi, was inside it.
“I’ve done many things to help homeless, but this was horrible,” she said. “I just care about my dog.”
If you have any information, you are urged to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP.
There ain’t no end to stooopid!!!!!
OK. No further comment necessary.
We just built a handicap wheelchairs ramp for free while the man sat there and constantly complained about the job while we were building it, and when we got done he called the head deacon to his house and purposely did drove up the ramp very slowly and at an angle while turning the front wheel as far a he could in order to prove how stuck he could get at the 1/2" lip at the bottom of the ramp. and he just sat there not trying to straighten out or back up.
The devil was working hard on this fellow to keep him ungrateful.
The other guy I was working with knew this guy was trouble. We still did the job and thanked God we could help someone. that and it is easter week.
Charity isnt stupid, letting a homeless person i. your car to warm up isnt stupid. its nieve, theres a difference.
I send you into the world as sheep amongst wolves, you are to be as shrewed as serpents and gentle as doves.
stupid....she shames all of us with her stupidity.....
She took a huge risk. She was blessed that nothing worse happened to her. I feel sorry for her dog being stolen. Leaving her car running seems like a reckless choice, but maybe it saved her life.
“you are to be as shrewed as serpents and gentle as doves.”
Shrewd ≠ Stupid
individuals experiencing homelessness.
LOL! This individual is experiencing nausea at the woke bilge.
Better headline: Da bums stole her stuff!
Most people are homeless because they’ve ‘gone through’ all the people who normally would help them - parents, brothers, sisters, friends, employers etc
In short most people are homeless because they’re A-holes.
These people “experiencing homelessness” should be experiencing prison.
the difference between me and you... the first time that guy opened his mouth with a complaint on a free job, I would have drug up my tools and split...
this pandering feeds this behaviour...
FIDO
Lesson learned. Give to local charities and churches, where this sort of thing doesn’t happen.
No stupider than the author using verbal gymnastics to avoid saying homeless or bum or travler or gypsy or derelict or living on streets...
No good deed goes unpunished.
Looking to score drugs, maybe? A FB pic shows the dog has one eye and a little pink mohawk.
She should have called the Social Workers at the now defunded police station to help this poor, poor man.
A woman of obvious means stopping to let a man into her car makes her a target in any situation, let alone a homeless guy.
Leaving a $60,000 car running in a homeless camp is just stuck on stupid.
