We won that war so we supplied our allies instead of our enemies.

Technically, he’s correct. It was billions, not millions. But since we’re splitting hairs, due to inflation, it’s much more than 85 billion if you ask the question today. Maybe upwards of 150 billion?

Both of these treasonous bastards are subject to the terms of the UCMJ and can be charged under a number of Articles in front of a Tribunal.

This is what I thought their excuse would be: it was worth billions when we sent it over, but it had decreased in value.

But we still left it there for our enemies! Sure, there may have been 1000 rifles in bad repair, but would it not be worth it to the Taliban to fix them for the 500+ rifles they would end up with?

Trump’s plan included removal of our equipment and a withdrawal in stages which would be stopped if the Taliban encroached.

Not much of what was sent to Afghanistan is relevant to Russian needs in Ukraine. Maybe night vision systems if that stuff is still working. The Afghans received little artillery or artillery ammo as that wasn’t relevant for the sort of war there.

The most interesting stuff in Afgh from the Ukrainian pov are the MRAP vehicles as they have proven useful in Ukraine. But the US has plenty of surplus ones in stock as it is. As usual, the US massively overbought them for Iraq.

Plus, there is the difference between value and replacement value.

Filipinos don’t tend to pray for anyone’s deaths.
And post ww2 it was all about swords into ploughshares - often literally.

How Kirby can just bold faced lie when we have all seen the videos of millions of equipment left by Biden’s bugout? The media that reports this lie without question just shows how corrupt and despicable they have become.

NO, the Filipinos were praying for the deaths of the Japanese.

A friend of mine was born on Guam. His dad was US military. His mom and dad were originally from the Philippians.
His mom grew up in a remote island. Her parents were pretty important land owners and town officials. When the Japanese invade they lined up her parents and all the other wealthy people in the village and cut their heads off in front of everyone with the Samurai swords.

She ended up in an orphanage. Eventually moving to Guam with her husband and the US military. My friend lives outside of Seattle now. His family is still involved in litigation to regain the thousands of acres of land they lost where the Japanese invaded. Needless to say, his grandmother NEVER forgave the Japanese and hated them until the day she died.

I’m sure he’s trying to claim that all of that equipment belonged to the Afghanistan Army and wasn’t equipment we abandoned ...

Isn’t the dodge the idea that it was ‘transferred’ to the Afghans, and they’re saying it isn’t “US property” anymore?

Kirby should be called back to active duty, court-martialed, reduced in rank, have his pension revoked and sent to prison.

Kirby was a POS as an admiral and STILL IS TODAY !!!!

Well the rodents tried blaming Trump but that got laughed at so plan B is saying “Yeah we did it but hey man it wasn’t THAT bad.”
Than won’t work either first because it is a lie and more importantly, because people don’t like Joey or the Occupy White House gang that works his head.

What wonderful strategists we have. Who knew that losing a 20-year war, and giving billions of dollars-worth of ammo, weapons, transport, etc. to the enemy was a GOOD thing? Move over, Sun Tze.

In a thousand years or so, the Taliban might be our ally.
