“Why not have some land near Mt. Rushmore developed then all of these statues be placed there??
Call it AMERICAN HISTORY Park. Charge a small fee.”
Idea has some merit. Does not have to be near Mt. Rushmore, but some place distinguished, maybe near Arlington or some other notable Civil Park.
No win for us. Most of those statued fellas were democrats.
Leave ‘em in place.
Just add a white flag.
SO why NOT support that state over the other LIBERAL SHIT HOLES that we have now? IMHO
Don’t they know whites are suppose to hate themselves ?
“The momentum to remove more Confederate monuments in places like Jacksonville, St. Augustine and Lakeland followed the protests over the death of George Floyd in the summer of 2020.”
J’ville’s cowardly rino mayor circumvented city council and removed a few in the middle of the night......some are now on private property......since that the city council has kicked the can and won’t make a decision.
I can’t wait ‘till the blacks here find out the city was named after a revolutionary war era figure that owned as many as 300 slaves in his lifetime and would pay bonuses for captured runaway slaves to be whipped.
It’s gonna be epic.

That was the leaders back in the day. A civil
war and almost 100 years to get it revised.
SHIT SHOW to follow
What will happen when the Supreme Court holds affirmative action unconstitutional? Will those who support affirmative action have push back?

Agreed. There is also a very real opportunity for us to start winning a lot of African American votes. The Dems have thoroughly alienated the Black mainstream on issues like law and order and gay rights.
But every African American voter who is considering coming over to the conservative side is discouraged by how many Nathan Bedford Forrest posters are still hanging over here.
Wait until enough time passes to demand that MLK & George Floyd items get erases.
Does St. Augustine City have monuments to soldiers who died in other wars with similar prominence? If so I think it is OK to have a monument to these soldiers. However the monument should just be for the soldiers not the Confederacy.

There is also Jackson Square in New Orleans plus his statue.
Could be to many tourist $$$$$ for anything to happen there.
Why not just leave stuff alone!
But when your stronghold votes come from the South..
Ifor one, will never vote for Haley, even if Hillary is the opposition.
Haley could have nipped this in the bud but it wasn’t her country’s history.
Great men like Grant, Lee, Sherman, and Johnston, and their soldiers and sailors should always be honored for resolving what should have been political issues. Monuments North and South testify to the sincerity of those who endured the tragedy of that struggle.
Trivia question: which constitution outlawed the slave trade—US or Confederacy’s?
