No, because that’s not what happened. The media was NOT saying in week one the Russians were going to collapse.

Why Russia was winning, and anything said against the Russian
campaign was only propaganda.
I was never convinced that the Russians would lose. I was
convinced it wasn’t going to be as easy as they thought it
would be.
The death toll on both sides has been terrible. Was this
