Report shows ‘astonishing’ depravity in sexual abuse of more than 600 in Baltimore’s Catholic archdiocese
Baltimore Sun ^

A four-year investigation of Baltimore’s Catholic archdiocese reveals the scope of 80 years of child sex abuse and torture and how church officials often covered it up and, in some cases, paved the way for further abuse. Among the accounts: A deacon who admitted abusing more than 100 children. A priest who chained and whipped boys for his gratification. Another priest who, after receiving psychiatric treatment, went on to abuse 20 students at a Baltimore boys’ school.

Such abuse is evil. Period.

But I find the timing of the release of this report during Holy Week to be even more inappropriate than (then) PA Attorney General (now Governor) Josh Shapiro releasing a counterpart report on the Feast of the Assumption.

Anything to undermine the faithful.

And, while their Bishops were looking the other way, these are the same priests who were hearing confessions, celebrating mass and bestowing the sacraments upon parishioners over and over and over again.

That’s why we need the church in our schools.

These must be the clerics who say Joe Biden is a “good Catholic”.

This is why the Bible says that leaders in the church should be married men - not single, “celibate” faggots.

I recall walking to Sunday school as a little boy with my granny in 52-54. I never had any problems. I used to walk with Granny to get the NY times and visit my grandfather’s grave.

14 years later I drove to upstate NY from Fort Bragg as the Reverend’s wife let me store my car in her garage when I went to RVN. I have nothing to say but praise for the Church.

The whole hierarchy is corrupt, like this.

How else does a man like the current Pope become Pope, unless it was with the majority of the world’s Catholic leadership?

Addressed by St Augustines refutation of the Donatist heresy.
And from there on this point has been repeated many times.

The moral character of the priest is irrelevant to the validity of the sacraments he administers.

Difference being the RC church isn’t Christian and its a satanic church. I know there can be issues with evangelical churches too, but they’re not based on Satan worship.

Homosexuals have been infiltrating the Catholic Church priesthood for decades, no surprise. Also the once prestigious Boy Scouts who tried to cover up the homosexual scout leaders molesting their boys.
