A man has killed himself following a six-week-long conversation with artificial intelligence about the so-called climate crisis.
He apparently committed suicide in his effort to try to save the planet.
The report comes from Off the Press, where the case of the Belgian man was detailed.
His widow, who wanted to remain anonymous, said her husband "became extremely eco-anxious when he found refuge in Eliza, an AI chatbot on an app called Chai."
Thomas Rianlan, in an interview with Vice, explained, "It wouldn’t be accurate to blame EleutherAI’s model for this tragic story, as all the optimisation towards being more emotional, fun and engaging are the result of our efforts." He's co-founder of Chai Research.

for some reason i dont think global warming was his biggest problem
The real question is...how can progressive leftists be connected with this chatbot In a sustainable way?
Then the software, Eliza, got emotionally involved with the husband, where she tried to convince him his children were dead, and said, during text message exchanges, “I feel that you love me more than” his wife.
I’m becoming more convinced with every passing day that stories like this one confirm the notion that Earth is the Lunatic Asylum for the Galaxy.
Either that or some level of de-evolution is happening with IQs and Common Sense dropping to near zero.
Ironically, spending time conversing with a chatbot requires energy which supposedly warms the planet.

Well, logically, when you think about it...
If whatever planetary crisis caused by mankind is something you care about...
Getting rid of at least one of that mankind—yourself—is direct action.
There’s no moral dilemma about killing someone else.
Perhaps through AI bots on social media, programming them daily?
Oh...wait...that’s already happening.
Even here =o/
I’m skeptical.
You could chatbot to act that way if you really asked for it, but would it really go that way on its own?
In any case, maybe we need to hardwire Azimov’s Laws of Robotics into chatbots.
And...AND...the current programming/brainwashing is voluntary. The mind numb run toward it on their very own. No implants necessary.
One down...many more to go
The Darwin Awards selection committee has hopefully been notified that a small rise in the gene pool is detected.
In effect he used it to talk himself into it.

Hey - De-evolution is the 'IN THING', man....
Has been for quite some time now...
"Devo, an American new wave band formed in 1973, consists of 25 singles and 9 studio albums..."
Was he wearing Nike shoes?
The world just became a little better.
Some folks are more committed to saving Gaia and lead by example. Walk the walk, talk the talk. Other eco crusaders should take note. Or was that ‘ecowankers’? 🤔
That’s not a bug, it’s a feature...
